Dr. Michael Wayne Mouw, MD

Sunday afternoon, I went to a local 24 /7 clinic with a raspy croupy cough and congestion. I was the only patient at the clinic. Dr. Mouw walked into the exam room and immediately pronounced, before examining me, that he could tell I wasn’t sick just from looking at me. He ignored my concerns about why I was there and the medicines I knew my body doesn’t tolerate well. I had to ask him to examine me and then he only listened to my back (lungs) and diagnosed me with sinusitis. He must have repeated 3 or 4 times that he could tell I wasn’t sick from looking at me because of his 35 years of experience and therefore did not have to examine me. He stated that he would prescribe the medicine that he wanted to prescribe just because he was going to be nice to me, and he was very clear that he didn’t care what I thought. Clearly this is a Doctor who has an ego problem and believes he doesn’t have to consider what his patients say or feel about their own bodies. I am a young… retired senior and I have some medical training so I know what he should have done. I believe I could have gotten bettter medical treatment if I had stopped some random person on the sidewalk. Don’t waste your time, and money, seeing him.

Ask for another Dr. if you want to get a knowledgeable Dr. and an educated diagnosis. This Dr. incorrectly diagnosed an ER-patient condition as soon as he walked in the room, without ANY tests. He was arrogant and dismissive of any information we tried to give him. Even AFTER tests were done, that would rule out what he had diagnosed, he continued to insist that his original diagnosis was correct. I don't believe he ever even read the test results in his haste to walk out the door exactly at 7:00 when his shift ended. TERRIBLE DR.=TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Ask for another doctor! Doesn’t believe in sepsis protocol, his words. Fast, no bedside manner, left a patient naked from the waste down and bleeding from procedure as he threw the door open to leave, exposing patient to the hallway as people were walking by. Get someone else!
