Dr. Michael Libby Mulhern, MD

I am shocked that this man received good ratings from any patient. I waited almost an hour to see him, then he saw me for five minutes. During that time, he actually hurt me giving me the eye exam -- a first for me after many years of seeing eye doctors. He showed no compassion or even consideration. He actually asked me if everything was going well, thus indicating that he hadn't bothered to read my chart. Perhaps this guy is so busy processing patients that he just doesn't have the time for them. My eyes were dilated, and the office staff let me leave without giving me dark glasses. I won't be going back for a follow-up visit.

Very pleased with Dr. Mulhern, professionalism, manners, thorough competence, ability to explain and converse with my concerns and/or questions. I have one issue that prevented 5th star: slow arranging a test procedure requiring me to request followup arrangements. He is not the only doctor/office that has done this btw! It does become an irritant to any patient who also has a busy schedule. It delays managing a potential condition.

His very high intelligence permeates each visit. He is considerate; really listens. Highly skilled, gentle, clear with his suggestions, answers questions aptly. Kind, and always professional. Same for his Assistants and for that matter, the office Staff. I have every confidence in Dr. Mulhern.

Very professional and competent. Highly skilled; extremely satisfied with the cataract surgeries he performed on me. Not yet fully at ease simply conversing with patients. Lawrence Eye Center probably has too many patients for only 2 physicians (with one leaving last summer) so waits can be excessive.
