Do Not Recommend – Rushed, Unprofessional, and Profit-Driven I had a terrible experience with Dr. Michael S. Murphy and strongly advise anyone considering him to look elsewhere. Rushed & Profit-Focused: My appointments felt incredibly rushed. He seems far more concerned with confirming your insurance coverage for surgery than actually listening to your concerns. He tells you exactly what you "need" to hear just to get you onto the operating table. Zero Testing: He completely diagnosed my condition without ordering any standard medical testing—no X-rays, no MRIs, nothing. He just guessed and pushed for a procedure. Dishonest About Recovery: He openly lied about the recovery process and the timeline required to get back on my feet, leaving me completely blindsided post-surgery. Absentee Post-Op Care: Once the surgery is done, his interest in you as a patient completely evaporates. He doesn't show up for follow-up appointments; instead, he pawns you off entirely on his residents and… assistants. He shows absolutely zero interest in a patient's actual recovery. Save yourself the frustration and find a surgeon who actually cares about your health, not just your insurance payout.

Dr. Michael Murphy is an outstanding surgeon with a fabulous sense of humor. He greets his patients with a big smile, is very patient and listens carefully, thoroughly explains the procedure to be done and the results are fantastic. I barely have a scar for my carpal tunnel surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Murphy to one and all. He is the best!

Gave me an injection for trigger finger. Explained the process as he did it and gave follow up instructions. Very friendly and easy going. Could tell I was anxious and calmed me down. I would recommend him to family and friends.
