Michael J. Musacchio, M.D. Staff is incompetent . I waited 60 days before I talked to staff. I called and faxed but never heard back. When I did they told me they never received my records from my previous doctor. They never called me to let me know. She told me she is not responsible for keeping track if they send the records or not. I wonder if her employer knows this?

DO. NOT. USE. THIS. DOCTOR. FOR. SPINAL. FUSION. He literally doesn't inform his patients that your trading constant lower back pain for sciatic nerve pain. AVOID THIS SURGERY AT ALL COSTS. I am in constant lower back pain every day. The screws literally stab you in the back everyday. He doesn't even respond on north shore connect. He had me dependent muscle relaxers and then wouldn't even refill any after he had said patients are on them 7 months to 12 months, which is completely unprofessional. He could CARE LESS ABOUT POST OP PAIN. This surgery is a scam. I was a labourer and he put it to me as 'athletes get this surgery'. This man changed my whole career trajectory for the rest of my life.

A year ago I was in so much pain that I had to be hospitalized. I couldn't move for two days. This was after I had had two spinal blocks. Dr Musacchio performed a lumbar spinal fusion on my back two months later. The pain was manageable, but I thought that I wouldn't be able to get back to working out. It took some time (I'm over 60), but I feel great! I'm back to Pilates and light weight training. It's hard to believe that exactly one year ago today I was in the hospital, with a pain patch on my back. Thanks Dr Musacchio!

I spent 9 months trying various treatments in an attempt to avoid an Anterior Cervical Discectomy Fusion, including cortisone injections to no avail. During these 9 months, I consulted with 3 different surgeons until I was referred to Dr. Musacchio who made me completely comfortable with the decision to move forward with the surgery. It's been a month since I had the procedure done and I'm amazed at how well I'm feeling compared to how the other surgeons expectations for recovery. His credentials speak for themselves.

Highly professional and skilled,made me feel safe and confident to have the surgery. Excellent bedside manner and very knowledgeable, patiently answered all my questions and concerns. Caring and concerned, gave me follow-up phone calls and physical therapy plans after surgery.Treat the whole person, not just the disease!Highly recommend!

Dr. Musacchio has a wonderful bedside manner which was very important when you are in pain and do not know what is the matter with your spine, etc. He discussed all possible treatments etc. I would not hesitate to recommend him to my friends and family.
