Dr. Michael Hoang Nguyen, MD

Had the best experience in the ED last week. They appeared super busy but there was no wait. Went right back to the room, Dr. Nguyen came in within 5 minutes. He listens, explains the plan, gave me an idea of how long it would take. He said labs would be back in about 90 minutes but was done in 45 minutes and I was on my way soon after. Staff was quick. Had labs drawn, xrays down, and out the door in 60 minutes. 2 dys later, I felt better and back to normal. This place is extremely efficient with a great doctor, great nurses.

I went into the ED after seeing my PCP, another outside ED doctor. I had test after test done, drugs then more drugs, multiple visits. My family had to take me to North Austin ER eventhough I told them it was a waste of time given all of my recent doctor visits. This doctor took the time, did a complete evaluation, told me what he believed the diagnosis to be. He ordered test to verify if he was correct. Diagnosis given, treated, and I felt better the next day. I was completely fine by weeks end. He took his time to let me talk, answered my questions, and explained everything where I could understand the issues. My only complaint is he is an ER doctor and I may never see him again. If he ever opened up an office, I would go to him even if my insurance didn't cover it. He is truly an asset to North Austin and the medical community

My mother-in-law saw Dr. Nguyen in the ER and he was ready to send her home without even examining the wound that she went in for. He looked at her chart from a previous doctor and made his diagnosis. She requested another opinion and ended up having surgery three days later and spending three weeks in the hospital! Not to mention she has a vaccuum pump still attached to the wound even upon going home. I shudder to think what would have happened to her leg if she had listened to Dr. Nguyen and went home!

Patient doctor. Listens. Cares. Diligent. Best doctor I have ever had in the ED.
