I traveled from Madison to see Dr. Nolte. Dr. Nolte has explained things well and has generally been kind, compassionate and given me whatever time I needed for explanations. He was never in a rush to do surgery and suggested alternative means of treatment first. Dr. Nolte performed a two level anterior discectomy and fusion. My neck and arm pain were gone when I woke up from surgery. I was off narcotics by the end of the second day and eating solids by day three. This has been vastly easier than I was led to believe by patients who had this procedure done elsewhere. AT 7 weeks out I am still healing but functioning very well and able to do pretty much all of my daily routines. He has been a refreshing pleasure to work with and I recommend him highly.
