Dr. Michael P Notorangelo, DO

Doctor Notorangelo and I use the word doctor very loosely is a complete hack. My husband went to him for almost 13-14 years for an addiction to pain killers only to get addicted to suboxone. Definitely only in it for the money started out at $150.00 and then up to $180.00. Husband was only in the office no longer than 15 mins and phone called only 15 mins. How is anyone supposed to get the proper care with 15 mins a visit. I was very frustrated and my heart hurt because my husband was trying to get off this medication , and Dr. N just seemed to tell him what he wanted to hear, no guidance at all. I finally convinced my husband to check into another doctor. We got him scheduled else where , the new doctor asked how he was being prescribed by Dr, N , so my husband told them , and they were mortified. They couldn't understand where he was getting his dosages from. So PLEASE if you are considering going to Dr. N save your money he's not worth it.

I've never met someone so condescending, narcissistic, fake, money-grubbing and uncaring. Not to mention extremely unknowlegable within his own field of work.

Kind, smart and strict. That is why there is so many poor ratings.

This doctor is a straight up legal drug pusher, charginge $150 a pop for people to get a script of suboxone which is just as addictive and subject to abuse as any opiate the patient may be addicted too. And the "nurse" is his wife...never understood this...but whatever he's nothing but a self absorbed drug pusher.

My son went to him for help . He seemed caring the first visit I think because I went in for the appointment with my son. After that his appointments which were supposed to be an hour long only lasted approximately 10 minutes . This was supposed to be a caring Doctor helping an individual get help with an addiction... So Norwalk effort was made to get to know my son or what his issues were , but he was still charged the $150 for the hour visit . He also didn't like the fact my son was seeing another doctor and taking a medication he had been on for awhile that was working for him , which was strange because this wasn't mentioned until he had been there for several visits. He seemed to think he was superior to other doctors .. Just not very compassionate or understanding

I can't believe the negative remarks about Dr. Mike N. I believe most of these patients either only saw him for a short period, or just upset cause they messed up some way. I have seen Dr. Mike and laura for about ten years. They are just down to earth good people. Yes sometimes he may seem short and direct. But understandable seeing how I personally know he can spend over 12 hours a day helping people. But most time he will go out of his way to help/treat a patient. I could go on and on. And even myself one day thought I could find a cheaper/ better doc. Well I regret that every day. I tried a few other doctors, and couldn't deal with any for more than a couple months. I'm sure there are some good ones. But I don't think I could ever find one as good as Dr mike. And if I get the opportunity, I will see him again. All I can tell anyone that thinks there's someone better is good luck. I never in 10 years had a issue with Dr. Mike or laura. They are wonderful. It was only because a… friend told me about another Dr that was apparently cheaper that I left about a year or so ago. And it was the worst mistake. So if you haven't spent enough time, don't judge and try and give someone a bad name.

This guy as stated brags about how good he is, badmouths every other sub doctor...basically a total jerk. Just another money hustling doctor who probably pulls in 100k a year or more. First visit was good but after that he was mean, his nurse asked me if I knew anyone else who went there that was selling their pills and the doc was angry I had scripts from my previous doctor(who was much nicer) so he booted me. He also boots alot of other folks after 2nd visit for trivial things. IN IT FOR THE MONEY!!!

He ripped me off $350.00 and is refusing to give me my money back, even though he did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING at my appt.

How did you feel about the dosage he would prescribe you?

I wasn't shocked to read these reviews. Dr. Notorangelo prescribes medicine that isn't too played with and people abuse and sell it. He can be harsh on me but I know its because he wants me to understand how serious these medications are. I read a comment about the sectretary, Laura. She has always been nothing but sweet, helpful and compassionate to me. I have learned more about myself and have never had more self-esteem, I know Dr. Notorangelo saved my life and believe that anyone giving him a bad review is because they were caught doing something they shouldn't have been doing with their medication.
