Dr. Michael Anthony Orsini, MD

I went to Dr. Orsini a few years ago because I was sick of dealing with chronic congestion and horrible sinus headaches all the time and wanted to stop taking ibuprofen multiple times a week to deal with them. Now for background, when I was a teen, I was diagnosed with chronic sinusitis via CT scan by another ENT but never got it treated. For my first appointment with Dr. Orsini, I walked in, and he was sitting with a sheet of paper with a list of prescription names on it and a pen ready to circle them. I told him my issues and he said it sounded like allergies and quickly circled a prescription for allergy spray. I told him that I was diagnosed with other sinus issues via CT scan before and he insisted that I take the allergy spray for a few months and said "And then we'll see about a CT scan or whatever." He also had me schedule allergy testing. I felt rushed out. The whole appointment felt like it was less than five minutes. I was disappointed but willing to do what he said because… he was the doctor, right? Well, I go back to him after allergy testing (I did have some) and trying the nasal sprays and I told him the allergy spray didn’t really help me with anything. He briefly looked up my nose for a second with a flashlight and told me that I was on the highest dose of the nasal sprays so he couldn’t do anything about that and that my only option was weekly allergy shots which I didn’t have time to do. No CT scan was mentioned. He also told me to take Tylenol Extra Strength for my headaches -how is that any better for my body than taking ibuprofen all the time?! Oh and that appointment was probably only about 5 minutes. I was a bit devastated. I had to use PTO and spend a lot of money to see this man who didn’t give a crap about my concerns! It felt like he just wanted to push prescriptions on me. I didn’t see another ENT for a few years because I was so put off by what I went through and was afraid of spending time and money just for another doctor to tell me they couldn’t help. I eventually did decide to see another ENT though and I couldn’t be happier! My new doctor listened to me about my history and all my concerns. She not only gave me some alternative medications to the allergy sprays that didn’t work, but she also believed me when I said I needed a CT scan. The results from that showed I have severe chronic sinusitis, and one of my sinuses was so inflamed it was completely occluded! Sinusitis is caused by infection, so the allergy sprays and injections Dr. Orsini kept insisting on would not have cleared my problem at all. My new doctor already started treatment for it and I couldn’t be happier about it. I am still pretty upset that I had to live with this for as long as I have because Dr. Orsini couldn’t be bothered to listen to me or order a simple CT scan. I see by other reviews people had a much better experience than I did…I can’t help but wonder if being a young woman at the time I went to see him might be a reason I wasn’t taken as seriously as his other patients seem to be? Regardless, I can only review from my own experience, and I say avoid him if you want a caring and thorough doctor.

I was experiencing terrible nose bleeds, 5 in 6 days. I called my pcp was told 6 months before they could see me. Took a trip to the ER, six hours later still no real help from them except the doctor did refer me to Dr. Orsini. I called his office first thing the next morning and to my surprise his office ladies who were fantastic and got me in to be seen that afternoon! I can not say enough, I was treated so kindly and they all made me feel like I mattered! Having so many nose bleeds and taking anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 1/2 to get it to stop was scary and draining. Dr. Orsini spent time with me and didn't rush me out the door. I would highly recommend this practice!

i have horrible allergies and recently was diagnosed with asthma. dr orsini told me to stop taking two of my allergy medications and my asthma management medication. my asthma quickly became uncontrollable and my alleged the worst they've ever been. he didn't even bother to look at my medical history (same facility, different doctor) from the last 5 years to see why i was taking those medications. i cant tell if he's senile or truly doesnt care

A few years ago I went to see Dr Orsini because I had a "wooshing sound" in my left ear. After a thorough check up, he sent me for some tests which found not only a cyst on my right parotid artery, but also some unrelated problems that could have become serious if not found and regularly monitored. He even collaborated with some of my doctors from other networks in order to share the results of my tests and have them follow up with me on a regular basis. The office staff is very friendly and helpful.

I see Dr Orsini for both hearing and allergies. He listens well and provides good care and advice.

I woke up feeling dizzy and with the holidays coming that is not what I wanted at all. Saw the doctor that morning and Dr. Orsini gave me several options and within 48 hours I was back to normal. Thank You!
