Very caring, very concerned for my well-being. When providing counseling or advice on my treatment, always respectful and never outright dismissive of my suggestions or strategies, when he was probably entitled to be. Any disagreements were constructive and always stayed focused on a solution and the goal. Listened really well and attempted to speak and explain in understandable terms. A great sense of humor, but only at appropriate times. I was a challenging if not outright exasperating patient, yet he was unfailingly kind and supportive. We never quite hit on the right Rx for me, but not for lack of effort and largely due to my complications with various meds. I appreciated his help immensely.Â

A very smart man... unfortunately if you are a former patient he is not good at getting back to you... also believe I was misdiagnosed.

Dr. Ostacher is an is a wonderful doctor and human being. I'm bipolar and had ben an absolute mess even after seeing several psychiatrists. He helped me turn my life around by getting me on the right medications and helping me stop drinking. To this day my wife says if it wasn't for him she definitely would have left me. I owe him everything and will never be able to repay him.
