Dr. Michael Paolucci, MD

I had the misfortune of having Dr. Paolucci as my Doctor when he was practicing in Texarkana, TX. He is now practicing in Colorado and prospective patients need to be aware that he has a history of poor bedside manner and negligence. When you ask him how long you will be in the hospital or need treatment for an illness be prepared for him saying -“this isn’t Jiffy Lube!” Please, by no means should you see him with pancreatic issues.

After St. Michael's sent us home with my mom complaining of abdominal pain for 5 days, my aunt gave Dr. Paolucci a call and he told her to go back to the ER & found out she had E. Coli. So very thankful for Dr. Paolucci!!

I met Dr. Paolucci for about 40 seconds, just before my procedure. First he called me by the next patient’s name, happened to be a female, I’m a male. He asked why I was having the procedure done. I guess I was the only one that new it had been five years since my last one and since I’m 62 I heard it was important to have one. He used the last 10 seconds of our meeting to start the procedure. Problem was I wasn’t sedated at all. He got a little ahead of Dr. Jackson, who by the way was wonderful. After all said and done he shared the results with my brother, who was there to give me a rid and not on my share list, (only my wife). Not sure why they ask on the questionnaire. But not surprising, he thought I was Mrs. H.

Dr. Paolucci knows his patients and knows them well, he remembers their history and keeps tabs on them. My PCP has told me I do not need a GI doctor because all I have is Barrett’s Esophagus (a pre cancerous problem) but she thinks healthcare is not for women. Dr. Paolucci does not discriminate this way, he care about all people regardless of gender.

I can’t say enough uplifting things about Dr. Paolicci, he saved my life when I had a GI bleed after I had been told by my PCP that I was just an anxiety riddled woman. His nurse is precious also and she is diligent with return calls.

Dr. Paolucci would rather talk about duck hunting than a patient's symptoms. As a result of his (lack of) care, I spent 6 days in the hospital and continue to suffer. I drive hours out of my way to see another doctor. He does not listen or explain, when you ask him a question he will not look you in the eye. He often says "This isn't jiffy lube" I guess he thinks that is funny.

Dr. Paolucci has been my GI doctor for more than 12 years. He has been my father's, my mother's, my brother's & my husband's GI doctor. He is directly responsible for saving the life of my 18 year old son. At 2 years old, no one in this town did anything for my son. Dr. Paolucci did a phone consult through a mutual friend and gave us advise that literally saved his life. He is an excellent physician. As far as bedside manner, he is informative with a great sense of humor! Wouldn't see anyone else!!
