Michael Penfold, MD

Michael Penfold, MD, is a pediatric cardiologist who cares for children and adults with congenital heart disease and other cardiovascular conditions. Dr. Penfold earned his medical degree from Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee, Florida, and then completed a pediatric and adolescent medicine residency and a pediatric cardiology fellowship at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, in Rochester, Minnesota. Most recently, he served as assistant professor of pediatrics at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in Rochester, Minnesota. He currently serves as a physician in the Florida Army National Guard at Camp Blanding, Florida, and he previously served in the United States Marine Corps in Cherry Point, North Carolina. Dr. Penfold has received research presentation awards at Mayo Clinic and the Midwest Pediatric Cardiology Society. His research and academic interests include congenital heart disease, echocardiography, …electrophysiology, arrhythmias and cardiac neurodevelopment.
