Dr. Michael Douglas Perloff, MD

Dr. Perloff diagnosed me with MS 10yrs ago, I took the shots faithfully everyday just to find out I don't have MS. I am confused by this, no explanation BMC just gave me another doctor instead. His personality was so bubbly but he would rush me out of the appointment so fast and now I see why.

Boston Medical Center I strongly suggest and listen to all the reviews on him and investigate this doctor because all the negative reviews on him is what I went through for years and could not believe what I read it blows my mind on he is still working at BMC

It was hard to get an appointment- but worth it. He listened, helped and changed my life (via less pain!)

Dr. Perloff gave me my injections in my back and he worked with such precision and care. He showed how concerned he was with my pain and to me, it showed how much he cared. He has got a great team of nurses working in his department also. Very happy with the results after 3-4 years of pain.

I met with Dr. Perloff three times each time having to wait 4-6 months for the next appointment. He never took the time to ask questions or listen. When I explained he would shut me off and talk condescendingly to me. At one point when I told him what other Drs had said he claimed he was smarter and he did enough to help me I should be greatful. I am willing to accept the time constrains and pressure as issues but after 4 meetings now the service has not gotten better. I still have pain issues he seems unwilling or unable to address and does not seem to think I need information to understand my situation.

I do not feel the Dr. takes the time to truly understand the patient. In this case, it seemed he had a bias or was distracted. On multiple occasions, I was rushed out of his office without his attention. My history is many situations which resulted in back, neck and shoulder pain plus diabetic neuropathy which seems to be exacerbated by the cardiology and fluid drugs I take. Each time I met with Perloff he asked about the prescribed pills but did not seem to understand that the pills were ineffective and with his regime, I do not get the sleep I need to be well and think. This has negatively impacted my job performance and made me tired all the time. It is so bad that I am falling asleep when driving or stop moving.
