Dr. Michael Gerard Persico, MD

First time seeing him. He was was covering for another doctor. He came into the exam room with the knowledge about my situation. He was very knowledgeable about wound care. We talked about multiple options that I had. He didn't act as if he had to run!

Great doctor, spends what ever time is necessary to answer all your questions. I would recommend him to my family and friends. Dr. Persico is not only a brilliant doctor, he is also a kind and caring human being.

I had hernia surgery in 2007. I did not need to seek out any other doctor for a second opinion. First, my dad had diverticulitis in the late 1990's. His intestines were so mangled up, that Dr. P. had to remove quite a bit and in order for him to heal, Dr. P had to put a bag on his side for his waste to come out. After a year, my dad had surgery again to reattach the intestines back to the rectum. He made very good progress and had no other issues. Unfortunately, my dad passed away in 2008 (unexpectedly) from COPD and his heart. Dr. P - he was known by you as the candyman from upstate NY. My family was so impressed by Dr. P. I have not known another doctor to have a better bedside manner than him. When you have an appointment with him, he does not rush you. He listens to you. I referred a co-worker to him and she was highly impressed with him. She feels the same way as I do about his bedside manner. Believe me, you will not be disappointed with Dr. Persico at all. A truly… great doctor!!!!!!
