Very great doctor , would recommend him to anyone in the world . very easy to talk to and discuss your problem and what can be done to render a fix . My opinion is that he is the best at what he does .

AS an internist myself, I am very particular about quality of care and could not find a better cardiovascular surgeon than Dr.Petracek. For surgeons, bedside manner is pretty unimportant (he is direct, to the point, not warm and fuzzy). But in the operating room, there is NONE better. My husband had complex surgery and at every step, the care that Dr. Petracek provided was excellent. Absolutely incredible technical skill apparent in every aspect of care. No, we did not see him alot before or after surgery (he was reviewing the test results he needed to decide on the surgery) but he SAVED my husband's life with his skill and judgment so that is waht matters (all that matters). His team is great and you do seem them quite a bit.

He performed an atrial valve replacement and quadruple bypass on my 79 year old father June, 2010. My dad has fully recovered. Local surgeons did not want to operate due to dad's age. So glad we found Dr. Petracek and Vandy.
