Dr. Michael Angelo Pezzone, MD

Had scopes done 3 yrs ago w/ biopsies & had diagnoses to only find out I have a diagnosis that was never ever disclosed to me until last week when I spoke to his nurse. I?ve been complaining about certain symptoms for a year and a half now & I feel gaslighted by him and his nurse & I was told that he recommends that I see another gastro doctor at a different practice. Which sounds to me like he doesn?t want to work with me anymore and the nurse denied that and I told her it?s ok & that she doesn?t have to sugar coat it. When a doctor or specialist or nurse makes you feel uncomfortable in any way it?s best to move on and find someone new to get treatment with. I thought he was a great gastro doctor but after the last call I made my feelings about that changed. I found a new gastro dr I hope that I like & that helps me & listens to me & doesn?t push me away and make me feel uncomfortable. It?s not a good feeling from a doctor you are supposed to trust.

Not very helpful anymore after complaining of symptoms for a long time and I feel like I’m being swept under the rug. I was told today that he recommend I see another GI doctor at another practice. I said I feel like he doesn’t want to work with me anymore and his nurse denied it. I told her it’s ok and that she doesn’t have to sugar coat it. Im looking for a new gastro doctor. When a doctor or nurse or specialist makes you feel uncomfortable in any way it’s time to move on to a new doctor who wants to work with you and help you and cares about your symptoms and concerns.

Dr. Pezzone diagnosed me with colon cancer 8 years ago, and I was seeing him for follow up colonoscopies. However, he pretty much picked up and moved to Florida without notifying his patients and left me stuck to find a new Dr. last minute to perform my colonoscopy that I require every three years. So I did really like him, but felt this was very unprofessional.

It too long to get scheduled for testing. It is almost impossible to talk to someone in his office. I did like the dr for he little time we were together.

Will definitely return to him for future needs. Dr. Pezzone and his staff are caring and personable. An amazing combination with his skill and that of his compassionate staff.

Dr. Pezzone is absolutely wonderful! he is very kind and compassionate. He listens to you and treats you like a person, not a disease. I'm so glad he came here to Washington. No need to go to Pittsburgh to see the doctor since we have him here.

I switched to Dr. Pezzone based on another doctor's recommendation. It is the best thing I could have done to receive the quality of care that I desire. He takes his time to listen to all of my medical concerns whether they are medications issues, test results or symptoms. He has a very calming way of explaining the answers to my questions.
