Dr. Michael John Pfisterer, MD

I felt after leaving this visit I got more information on the internet than I did from Dr Pfisterer. The message I took away from him was my ears were healthy and there was no infection. The people he helped were ones with fluid in the ears and then the worst case scenario putting tubes in, which was not my case. I felt like I got no explanation on really what could be causing my ear pain. I suggested Eustachian tube. He didn't explain about how they worked or how that might be the problem, but just said sometimes earaches can last for weeks and even months. I felt like I was throwing out ideas of what I could try, like nasal irrigation, Flonase, antihistamine, or decongestants. And felt like I didn't really get any definitive answers. If earache keeps persisting I will look for another ENT

This doctor spent 5 minutes with me, printed an after visit summary 90 seconds into the appointment, couldn’t have cared less and had zero interest in helping me or investigating my issues, AND their office double billed me to collect more insurance $. $30 Copay and a separate $30 for an ear exam. That’s what the copay is for, and he barely checked my ears anyway. Paying $60 for absolutely nothing. Majorly regret showing up to the appointment.

Could not have felt that he was more uninterested in getting to the bottom of my issue. Would never go back to this Dr.

Poor, unfriendly bedside manner. Was not interested in getting to the bottom of my issue. I was just not impressed, would never go back.

Dr. Pfisterer was okay, but his office adds an additional co-pay for anything other than saying hello.....a co-pay for meeting and greeting the doctor, a co-pay for having him clean your ears, etc. Can you imagine your GP adding an additional co-pay for listening to your heart, checking your blood pressure etc.
