Dr. Michael Scott Phillips, MD

This is a awful doctor that treated my son for 1 1/2 yeas with injections and dangerous pain patches. After no improvements we went to a surgeon with his most resent mri come to find out my sons back is perfect it was his hip that was fractured. The office help is just as awful. Bypass a pain specialist or at least this one .

My insurance requires referrals to see this practice. Dr. Phillips is a great and caring doctor. But the entire admin staff is worst I've ever experienced. They scheduled me for a procedure in Aug 18. I asked if they had all the insurance requirements in order and was told yes. I had the procedure done. Two weeks later the practice staff called to tell me my referral had expired 12 days prior to procedure. My insurance of course denied the claim. This medical practice is attempting to bill me for $10,000 for their mistake. The office manager refuses to take or return either my calls or my insurance company calls. I am now forced to hire an attorney.

I'm ending the 5th week of 4 of phone calls to his office. I've yet to speak to a human other than directing my call. I've left 4 messages with required patient information to receive a copy of my surgical report. One would think by now the office would have taken care of my request or at least called me. Dr. Phillips is a good Dr. and I have nothing negative to say about him.

He is well worth the wait. He has taken very good care of me , making me feel better and not hurt all of the time. He is the best at what he does.

Dr. Phillips is a very caring compassionate doctor. His concern is how good your quality of life is. He's done spinal injections on me and they quit working. I had a rhizotomy done on both sides of my spine in one procedure. I had high hopes this would relieve my pain but within a couple of weeks it was not working either tho it did on the preliminary test. I've been thru the ringer with my back problems since I was in my 30's. Chiropractor, spinal decompression, physical therapy and back surgery. All I want is to be able to play with my grandkids, maybe put my dogs back in training or take them hiking spending time in my planting beds in the spring, mowing the lawn, keeping my house clean...I've not been able to do any of this since my surgery because the pain level being so high. I'm hoping that soon I'll be able to do some of these things very soon.

I had suffered with a pinched nerve for years, it finally got to a point that I could not function normally. I know that the epidural injections do not work for everyone, but for me it was incredibly effective. Dr. Phillips is a kind, caring physician who really listened to my complaints and explained exactly what could and could not be done to help. I appreciate his candor and especially appreciate the pain relief.
