My daughter has Crohn's disease and we went to the Mayo Clinic because of all the progressive ideas for treatments they boast about online. Dr. Picco is not interested in listening to what is working for patients, nor, what Rochester Mayo is doing. When I asked to also see their Functional Medicine provider, he said, "Why". Ummm....because my daughter has Crohn's, seems obvious. He's tapped out of new diets/treatments, which means he has stopped listening to patients. So, head to Rochester Mayo or just have your local doctor prescribe you Humira, it will be the same. Happy that we moved on to a stronger research and care doctor/facility. They treat my daughter as an individual and they are up to date on every study that is going on in the world. The only reason there are two starts here is because the clinic itself was very professional and punctual which is much appreciated considering the distance we spent traveling.

Dr. Picco is a physician that listens to a patient and truly cares. He is extremely thorough when explaining what he is doing. I was diagnosed with UC when 17 and had a total proctocolectmy with ileostomy at 37. I developed severe Crohn's at 60 and have been seeing Dr. Picco for 2 years. Other than prednisone no drugs have been successful in helping my Crohn's but Dr. Picco never gives up and continues to research and try drugs that may not be the normal drug plan. His compassion is above and beyond belief and he always instills hope.
