Summary
Dr. Principe attended Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey where he graduated Cum Laude, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology. After completing his undergraduate degree, he enrolled in medical school at Ohio University where he earned the degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
After medical school, Dr. Principe completed an Internship and Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at The Kettering Health Network, Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. During his residency, Dr. Principe completed his orthopaedic training at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana and Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida. It was during this training that he developed an interest in orthopaedic trauma surgery, caring for the most severely injured patients.
Upon completing residency, Dr. Principe elected to obtain additional training in orthopaedic trauma surgery, completing an Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. During the fellowship, he gained …experience in the treatment of complex fractures and post-traumatic reconstructive surgery.
He is married to his wife, Bonnie, and they have three children. They relocated to Delaware to be closer to family, while allowing Dr. Principe to work at Christiana Hospital, an outstanding Level I trauma center. Dr. Principe is also on staff at Kent General Hospital, Wilmington Hospital and St Francis Hospital.

Dr.Principe and his team were excellent!!!!!! I remember the break in femur bone awful pain!!! Next thing I remember is your going to sleep. Then I woke up !!! He fixed my leg!!! When you go to appointment after surgery to their establishment very nice , sweet people!!!! Hardly no wait in and out !!!! Just a great team and Dr.Principe awesome !!! Thank everyone!!!!
