Dr. Michael R Privitera, MD

I went to Dr. Privitera shuffering from fatigue and lack energy causing difficulties dealing with life’s functions falling behind in activities and missing appointments. Ironically he dropped me for missing an appointment. I also called multiple times about drugs I was taking he never follows up personally and nurse follow up was rarely helpful.

Dr Prvitera is such a soft spoken, Kind man who would never judge you,,I have been with him as a patient for 20 years and would never go to anyone else...He makes sure to call you by the end of the day if you need to speak to him

I had been seeking mental health care from a small town mental health clinic including a psychiatrist and social worker for over three years for major depression and dysthymia. I then sought treatment from a big city hospital. I requeswted and was referred to Dr. Privitera for a consultation. After several years of trying what seemed like every drug treatment combo possible, he took time to investigate all possibilities including lab work, etc. He then changed some of my meds and I saw great improvement finally. I had previously felt like there was no hope for improvement for my clinical major depression. Unfortunately, I am now being transferred to a nurse for follow-up care which is disappointing. I also switched to a big city social worker as well at Strong. What a difference it has made!
