Dr. Michael Gerald Radley, MD

Awesome sincere Neurosurgen. Met in 1998. This young man was blessed with the ability to use his skill and knowledge to remove a tumor involving the optic, pituitary, carotid artery etc. Known to be the worse place to have a tumor. Also in the cavernous sinus where it could not be removed due to nerves, carotid and arteries. This professional physician gave me almost twenty years of watching my family grow. Sure wish this guy was still in the neuroscience field today. Enjoy your retirement Dr. Michael Radley. Thank you!

My primary doctor referred me to Parkway Neuroscience and Spine Institute due to severe back and leg pain. At my first visit I was seen by a doctor who reviewed my MRI results with Dr. Radley. I was told that Dr. Radley determined that a piece of a disc in my back had broken off and I would require surgery to have it removed. I was scheduled for an appointment with Dr. Radley to schedule the surgery. When I went to the appointment and met Dr. Radley, he informed me that my MRI was normal and I did not need surgery. He denied viewing my MRI at my first appointment and told me that I must have misunderstood what I was told at my first appointment . I asked to speak to the doctor I had seen at my first appointment and was assured that Dr. Radley had viewed my MRI and had recommended surgery. I am now going to get a second opinion because Dr. Radley seems totally incompetent. My first and second appointments were only one week apart so I don't know how I went from needing surgery, which I… was very upset about having, and being completely fine. I would definitely not recommend him to anyone.

I did a great deal of research before choosing Dr. Radley, which turned out to be a complete waste of time. After choosing him and ascertaining that he was a provider on my insurance, I made an appointment weeks in advance. I arrived at my appointment well prepared, with all of my medical records and radiology work on disc and hopeful that he would be able to help me. Much to my surprise, I did not even meet him, instead, I was seen by physician's assistant in a dirty, wrinkled lab coat. After being told by my family doctor and an orthopedic surgeon that I would require surgery, I was dismissed by the PA after being told that surgery would not help and the numbness that I was experiencing was not even addressed. I was not told in advance that I would be seeing a PA or I would not have made the appointment. I was very frightened at the idea of requiring surgery on my spine, that is why I did the research and expected to see a specialist, somebody I expected to feel confident in. … It was a disheartening experience and I have had no resolution to my problem.

I friend and I both had excellent results from spinal surgery performed by Dr Radley6 years ago. I did not hesitate to consult him for a new problem. He is gifted at coordinating client input, physical findings and test results. Another plus is that therapies and epidural injections can be performed on site.

After visits with two other surgeons I was nervous about surgery and disappointed in level of genuine concern for my well-being. Within two minutes of my first visit with Dr Radley I felt confident that I had found a surgeon with the "total package" - he spent as much time with me as needed, explained his diagnosis thoroughly, and was very attentive. There was no sense of the arrogance present in many doctors today. I can't say enough good things about Dr Radley.
