Dr. Michael A Renier, DO

He rushed through my appointment and didn't listen to me. He sent me for an MRI, which cost me extra money, and didn't solve the problem. Then he told me my only option was surgery. It's a vertebrae issue, and he said that exercises, stretches, going to a Physical Therapist, none of it would work. I don't believe him. There has to be another answer than surgery.

Just because a doctor is in the room with you, doesn't mean he's spending time with you. He wasn't listening to what I said. Didn't ask me if I had any concerns until he was almost out the door and then it was, "any problems? [no breath] I think we're good. I'll just get this to the lab" and walked out. He talks too fast (I missed whatever he said about a smoke detector), and spends far too much time fussing with the computer. I also suspect that I was given some misinformation which I will follow up with another physician. The follow up is usually a sheet of paper in the mail with my bloodwork results. Now that it's on computer, I probably won't even get that.

I have been very pressed with the care I've received by Dr. Renier. I would highly recommend him to family and friends. Every visit he takes the time to review past concerns/conditions to ensure they are no longer a problem or improving. Dr. Renier also delivers babies as long as you are not considered high risk. I loved going to see the same doctor throughout my pregnancy. It was important to me to have a relationship with the doctor that delivered my baby, so it was incredibly refreshing to know when I called because I was in labor he would be coming to deliver my baby (and he delivered a healthy baby girl). I truly feel that he takes my concerns seriously, and takes the time to address them. I have never felt rushed during any appointment. He is a great doctor who is knowledgeable, friendly, and professional!
