As a physician, I think it is important to it knowledge that websites like this allow anybody to make any comment whether factual or not intended to harm physicians. As a fellow doctor I can tell you that I drive from San Diego to see Dr. Richman and he is absolutely outstanding as I am a faculty member at Scripps Medical Center and I can tell you that nobody is even in his league in terms of competence,intelligence, integrity, outstanding care and always available. Despite having recently suffered a devastating injury requiring surgery to his arm, he still answers all my calls and if it was me, I would just focus on myself but this guy "cares too much"

I was quoted $250 for the total cost of the lipid test at Dr. Richman's office. I waited over 60 minutes to see him and was charged a total of $350 for a 10 minute lab test and a quick consultation. I was instructed afterward to come back for the test result. When I came back,waiting another 45 minutes to see the doctor, I was told that it will be another $150 for the result of the lipid test. So beware!

I have searched for a doctor for some time now that specializes in cholesterol management and found Dr.Richman and his staff to be extremely professional, courteous and prompt. From the time I scheduled an appointment to the time I was seen by the doctor I received more than enough helpful and useful information, regarding my cholesterol and overall health. I could have not picked a better doctor. Since then I have referred many family and friends.Thank you Dr. Richman and Staff!
