Michael C. Roberts, MD, FACC

Dr. Michael Roberts specializes in cardiovascular disease and has dedicated four decades to heart care. He earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine in Charleston and completed his residency training at CEME/Palmetto General Hospital and the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine. Dr. Roberts furthered his expertise with fellowship training in cardiovascular diseases at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital, where he also completed internal medicine training. He is board-certified and holds the distinction of Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). Dr. Roberts communicates with patients in English.

Dr. Roberts practices at MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Northeast and sees patients at multiple Lexington Medical Heart and Vascular Center locations throughout South Carolina, including West Columbia, Swansea, and Columbia. He treats patients with chronic kidney disease and manages both routine hypertension …and hypertensive emergencies. His procedural expertise includes performing electrocardiograms (EKGs), contrast echocardiography, and transthoracic echocardiograms to evaluate heart function. Patients consistently rate Dr. Roberts highly, giving him an average score of 5.0 out of 5.
