Dr. Michael Robertson

I believe the actual procedure (x2) were performed well and all has been well with my mom’s ankle since the revision of her foot plate and rod in her leg. The surrounding event were concerning; mom has a nickel allergy that rotted her right knee after knee replacement and we told all the healthcare staff involved of this. Mom was anesthetized and brought back out because the staff realized the hardware had nickel. She was woken from anesthesia and then the proper hardware was surgically installed properly the next day. At the follow up visit, Dr. arobertson was very nice as usual, but he didn’t go through any of the post op recovery information like weight restrictions and wound care. The assistant came in and had to retrieve the doc to come back and answer our questions. Personally, I think Dr To retain is a great guy and I have to wonder if he was just overworked and in a hurry. That said, I am disappointed with the care mom received other than the actual procedure. I really… wish I didn’t have a bad review . I’ve had excellent care from everyone I’ve see from Columbia Orthopedic Group.

I only waited about 10 minutes. He was very knowledgeable, personable, and was concerned that I was educated and understood. Very kind and pleasant to talk with.

Dr. Robertson and his team were nothing short of amazing! The appointment was on time, perhaps ahead. When more testing was needed, we were worked right in and never sat in a waiting room longer than 5 minutes! Everyone we came in contact were incredibly friendly, compassionate and accommodating for my daughter as this was our first bout with a broken bone. We would definitely recommend this place!!

Dr. Robertson is a wonderful doctor. He was very informative about my daughter's broken ankle. He made her and I less worried with his explanations about the surgery and the aftercare. Would highly recommend if you are needing a great surgeon!

Dr. Robertson is extremely kind and very patient with you. Today was my second follow-up appointment since having my surgery for a fractured tibial plateau 5 weeks ago. He explained some things on the x-ray (e.g. number of screws, where the plate was attached) and he encouraged me to begin some weight-bearing on the injured leg. He explained some things about the swelling and that length of time for swelling to go down can vary. He wrote the order for physical therapy which I will take to Advance Physical Therapy in Kirksville. He recommended two weeks of therapy before returning to work, and roughly a total of 4-6 weeks. 2-4 times a week, of the therapy. He wants to see me in 6 weeks to see how much progress I will have made. I always feel comfortable asking Dr. Robertson questions and he provides thorough answers and never seems rushed. I think Dr. Robertson is a fine surgeon and a gentleman and I recommend him to others without hesitation! Lisa Vincent
