Dr. Michael Lynn Robinson, MD

Seems to me like the previous reviewers (pill seeking addicts?) consist of patients telling the doctor what to do, and when they get put in their place, they hide behind their computer and cry about it. Dr. Robinson will NOT hand out free drugs or change the way he practices medicine for you. He will, however, be great to your children and keep you healthy. He even goes out of his way to say hello to my family in public! I couldn't think of a complaint about him if I tried, let alone have the audacity to say he "silenced my voice with his dictatorship" LOL! I go to him because he is my doctor.. and he knows what I don't. I am also aware that I have to give respect to get respect, so I have not had any run-ins with him. Finally, Dr. Robinson does NOT overbook himself - he's simply in high demand in an area that's lacking physicians. Educate yourselves, people. This is the best physician Elk City has seen in decades. If you want to build a relationship with a young and educated… primary care doc, I recommend Dr. Robinson.

I just love Dr Porter. Friendly, efficient, listens, and does procedures quickly, with compassion.

I have a debt and it is extremely painful I have ask him to the point of begging and he gets nasty and says I am nit giving you anything I am now finding another doctor

Only someone cruel and ignorant would consider breast feeding a newborn infant child abuse. Who is the real abuser here? The doctor who thinks he is a god.

I have had to switch to other Drs. before in this town. I can promise that 100% or very close to that, of people would agree with my reasons. NIH statistics: average 1 out of 2 Dr.s are burnt out and Dr. mis-practice (a nicer word for it), is the 3rd leading cause of death in the USA. Here are the things Robinson should practice: - common courtesy (my not wanting treated like royalty but not like a bag of crud either), things like saying "what can I do for you" is fine but wouldn't the obvious protocol be to first say, I'm Dr. Robinson and you must be **Name**, I'm glad to meet you (?). Also, medical explanations go a very long way from patients (The NIH has radio ads on this point) but when you're not given a chance to do that, the Dr. must be hoping to treat you for something like a sore throat. AND don't mention any symptom(s) that might take 2 more minutes to go over with him. When a Dr. cuts you off from speaking and interrupts you when you're mid-sentence, this is a sure sign of… a man who is burnt-out in a serious way with medical practice. I actually believe it should be a rule that Dr.s have a reasonable cap on the amount of hours they can play golf or other leisure (of course they need it within reason, for stress-relief, I agree completely). An infringement on freedom of expression by getting doctors not to place play over their practice you say, when people are dying? If this doctor tells others I've expressed this, even with anonymity, I will not let it go, regardless of who I have to contact to report outside discussion of a patient's visit. People's lives are at stake and every little bit we can do to help turn-around the worsening "Dr. burn-out problem", the better off future generations will be (however many there may be left).

ONLY CARES ABOUT MONEY, OVERBOOKS, MAKES PEOPLE WAIT, THEY TALK TO 3 OR 4 OF HIS EMPLOYEES, MAYBE SEE HIM FOR 1 MINUTE. MY LAST APPT. 2 HOURS. RIDICULOUS. HAVE ALREADY FOUND NEW DOCTOR.

My husband & I have been driving to the city to see our previous physician but due to our age & medical health decided to use a local physician. We are both very pleased with Dr. Robinson & his staff. Treated very well. Dr sat down & answered every question we had. Larry & Penny Clark

Thursday I went to the Urgent Care in Altus as I felt like I was getting sick and achy. The staff at the Urgent Care was very courteous and I appreciate their care. My illness did get worse before it got better. Have been in bed with a fever, and a horrible cough for the last 3 days. Today, Tuesday, I head to Elk City to go see my family doctor, Dr Michael Robinson. I requested that the nurse asked him to listen to my lungs today along with looking in my ears because they were bothering me. When he entered the room he came in full of attitude telling me that they don't do physical exams anymore, that's old medicine. If I wanted a doctor that practiced OLD MEDICINE he would refer me. Then he educated me on what they teach them at school, they do assessments by communication with the patient. Well during his verbal abuse to me I was in such shock that I was dumb founded on how to even respond. His arrogance, God like authority, and complete uncareingness to the needs of his patient… sitting in front of him made me nauseated. He was so full of himself in that moment I don't know if he even realized that the patient sitting in front of him, me, was threatened by his tone and body language. I left that office upset with myself cause I allowed that man to disrespect me like that. In my mind I was horrified at his nerve, but my voice was silenced by the dictatorship in his voice. I knew he was the doctor and at this moment I felt like I couldn't stand up for myself. I recommend nobody see Dr Michael Robinson for healthcare

Requested a physical exam today at my doctors appointment ask the nurse to please see if he would do that. He entered the room angry and verbally abusive to me and accused me of trying to tell him how to practice medicine. I've been a nurse for 25 years and I've never had a doctor speak to me in the way this doctor spoke with me today. Outraged by his arrogance I will be finding a new doctor
