Dr. Michael Rogachevsky, MD

I had only seen him for 3 months/appointments, but he did not change any of my meds in that time, yet when my next month’s appointment fell during his 2 week vacation, he said I had to see him again the following week, because Vyvanse is a controlled substance and he would not be able to fill the RX unless I had a visit for each RX (even if it was only 7 days later) when I said that didn’t sound right, he became upset and said it was the law. I tried to find another Dr but all within 15 miles belong to the same group, so he would have to sign off on me switching (anti-poaching tactics) but he never did, nor did his office call me back, so I had to find one out of this area, and ended up being off meds for two weeks. He also told me I was lucky to have a job at my 1st appointment, luckily I didn’t listen and after 7 yrs with an abusive job, I applied and got a better one… luckily it didn’t take as long to ditch Dr R.

I am grateful as he recommended a medication that has worked well for me. I am frustrated with the late appointments, the mis-scheduled appointments, the lack of recollection by the physician when seeing me monthly and learning that while I am being rushed, my insurance is getting billed for 30 minutes of time. They keep you coming back more often than needed to bill you, not because it's in your best interest.

The experience I had with Dr. Rogachevsky was wonderful. From the moment I stepped into his office, I was greeted immediately and have received wonderful service from not only him, but his staff. He was very helpful, professional and provided me with great advice and recommendations. He is definitely one of the most knowledgeable and kind psychiatrists I have ever been to.
