Dr. Michael Dale Rooks, MD

I had a small lesion on my right hand. Ended up having 4 surgeries within a month. I was told this is not common and could have led to removal of my hand. Dr. Rooks would open the wound and remove from between my fingers. He consulted with other Drs. Who had experience with this type of surgery. He would close loosely, I would go home and be back the next week for similar. Also had skin (2”) grafted from my arm and relocated to my hand. The skin on my hand is defiantly fatty skin, so it always is red and look swollen. I do not have feeling in much of the area, which posed a threat when I burned my hand. Did not feel it and it was quite bad. I should have had plastic surgery made a part of the entire surgery as now it is considered ‘cosmetic’, and costs a bundle. I would seek a 2nd opinion prior to another surgery. I think we often feel landlocked in GJ rather than going to Denver or SLC. I do have before and after pictures as well. Diane White

Dr. Rooks fixed my broken wrist, he did an awesome job. He answered all of my questions, gave me realistic healing expectations, I completely trust him and would highly recommend him. I also enjoy his somewhat dry sense of humor!

Dr. Rooks made an accurate diagnosis of a scaphoid fracture to my wrist. My recovery has gone as planned. Because of Dr. Rooks I will be able to resume my football career at Northern Colorado.

Dr. Rooks is one of the very best hand surgeons in this country. He has successfully treated me, my son and my mother. I don't have any reservations about referring him to my family or friends.
