Saw Dr. Schaufele in Emory Spine care years ago. He did an epidural, had several complications from previous spine surgeries. He refused to give me pain meds after procedure even though I was going on a Mediterranean Cruise for 2 weeks and flying to Paris to board ship. Was so worried my trip would be ruined due to long flight and sitting and it was definitely ruined. Had to miss all of the excursions and the flight home I was so miserable. Ended up with spinal fusion. Move up to 4 years ago and this guy showed up at my pain management practice I had been going to for 15 years due to more disc issues above and below fusion. My reg pain Dr. Tark had to leave practice due to medical reasons and they scheduled me with him. Imagine my shock at seeing him at my established place. He again was very rude and condescending and insisted I try a internal pain device and after trial I had no relief, so he decided after all these years of being on pain control meds he wouldn’t prescribe them for… me and sent me away. I ended up finding a wonderful pain who put me on my same meds and other meds that really helped and am going to be getting another fusion in the near future. I would stay as far away as you can from this guy, his God complex is really telling if you aren’t a money maker for him. Can’t believe my luck of his showing up at my established place. The staff treated me like a personal friend until my original Dr had to leave and they turned cold and mean. Avoid at all cost!!!

Excellent !! Took care of my bursitis on the spot with a cortisone shot after taking X-rays. Compassion all the way.

Excellent, effective, efficient visit. Dr. Schaufele is obviously very experienced and a top notch doctor in his field. He is very easy to communicate with and has a very pleasant personality.

Great experience throughout. Dr Schaufele's assistant is amazing and my visit was on time and smooth. I feel extremely comfortable with Dr Schaufele's diagnosis and recommendations. He was thorough and gave me the time to clearly explain my upcoming procedure!

Had terrible back pain. Doc diagnosed me with facet problems. He burned the nerves in my back and I am back to golf! Tried PT, Chiro, meds without relief. THANKS!

Worst mistake of my life was seeing this man. He seems to have no empathy. Very disappointed in my experience.

Condescending jerk. No empathy. See any other physician on the earth besides Dr Schaufele.
