Dr. Michael D Schechter, MD

Dr. Schechter was unable to answer questions about any procedures that he recommended, would add procedures/treatments the day of an appointment without justification or relevant information regarding cost or risks, and overall did not take the time or effort to understand what I, the patient, wanted or was feeling.

Went to this group when I was pregnant. Saw this particular Dr. 14 days prior to my due date. It was the most pain I have ever been in, I believe he loosened the membrane so I would go into labor. At the end of the visit he said “you’re going to deliver this baby this weekend.” Sure enough I went into labor that weekend and guess who was there to delivery my baby?... Dr. Schecter!.

Dr. Schechter is excellent - really knowledgeable and experienced. He delivered my first baby and is now my doc for my second pregnancy. He’s very thorough and deliberate. When I moved to his practice with my first baby my medical records got scrambled from the practice I came in with and he patiently repeated all the testing meticulously to get everything right. I was lucky to have him for delivery - the nurse who led my baby class also said all the delivery nurses went to him too! It was a long and difficult delivery but throughout he listened and was respectful of my wishes while offering sound medical advice. Great doctor.

Dr. Schecter was thorough, concerned, attentive and viewed my care in an in depth, and professional manner. He answered al of our questions and anticipated other thoughts we might have with the wisdom of a father and the knowledge of a devoted doctor.

Poor bedside manner. Does not listen to patient.

My experience with this doctor was very bad. I would not go to him again.

Dr. Schechter runs his practice like a mill. Money money money. If your case is too difficult or too time consuming they will kick you out of the practice. Yet he makes it on the best doctors list year after year, Maybe he has his friends vote for him? He should not be on that list. No way.

Doctor was pompous and bedside manner was atrocious. His overall rating by others seems good but another friend of mine had a horrible experience as well. We never wrote a review so I thought I should for others with the same experience.

Dr. SCHECTER is a absolutely fantastic MD. He is a true professional and wonderful in every aspect. I have 2 children who were both delivered by him and he was great! I am a health professional myself and would recommend him without hesitation.
