Dr. Michael Patrick Shea, MD

When I called, I was directed to go to the walk-in clinic. Spent 2 hours there, mostly waiting. I’ve had good experiences at the practice years ago, but this time it didn't go so well. Although the doctor was nice, the experience felt like I was being processed on a fast assembly line. The doctor and his tech. were extremely rushed, I did not get a chance to ask about everything that I was seeing him for, and I did not get to understand what the expensive MRI prescribed would be accomplishing or if it was even accurate based on my issues that I didn’t get a chance to discuss thoroughly.

My visit at EmergOrtho walk in clinic was a positive experience. Staff was kind and patient as I was slow moving due to knee pain. After x-rays Dr. Shea came in and asked about what was going on with my knees, he listened to every word and explained what he saw on my x-rays. He examined my knees and gave me his recommendation. I felt heard as well as comfortable with his recommendations. The wait was not long.

I’ve had to go to the walk-in clinic many times over the years, most of those times I’ve been seen Dr. Shea - I’m always happy to hear that I will be seeing him. Most importantly to me is that he is always very kind and caring, he immediately makes me feel comfortable. His knowledge and way of explaining things in “layman” terms are outstanding. It is obvious that he loves his calling and truly strives to help people. I know that I’m one of many people who feel the same way as while in the waiting area during my recent visit, I overheard a woman gleefully telling her husband that she will be seen by Dr. Shea. He’s the best!

I had been very frustrated with a broken rib/sore rib cage due to osteoporosis and not given explanations that had enough answers. Dr. Shea was patient, took time, and explained the x rays. He talked to me about options of treatment. He explained that I needed PT and wanted to see me in a month. I left with hope that, with some work, I could get back to the active life I’m used to. Very appreciative of him and the office staff. I went in as a walk in, and they were all kind and helpful.

My husband and I needed treatment and we chose EmergeOrtho walk in clinic. From beginning to end, the experience was positive. Our expectations were exceeded. The staff was professional, friendly, and helpful. Dr Shea diagnosed and treated us. He is outstanding and I highly recommend him.

Dr. Shea is an amazing doctor. He gives the best medical treatment and has a kind caring nature. If you are looking for the fairytale in doctors, try Dr Shea!!

I have seen Dr. Shea several times in the past for all of my ortho concerns. He is always my go to MD at this practice. I went to walk-in clinic and the front desk staff said he was only seeing follow up patients. However, I was pleased to realize when I went back for my visit he was able to see me and fit me in!! He is very knowledgeable and explains problem and treatments that can be done. Always pleasant and great bedside manner!

It felt like the biggest inconvenience in the world to have scheduled an appointment with this fool way in advance. Every question was dodged, no treatment was given, and not an ounce of care was seen from him. He spent a total of 5 minutes with a patient when they?re scheduled for 30 and leaving without even asking if there were any questions. Uncaring and rude. I will never return to this practice and especially this ?doctor.? Do not see him unless you literally have no other choice.

I thought Dr Shea was a really great and knowledgeable doctor. He took time out to explain the problem that I had and what needs to be done to correct it and real easy to talk to he seemed really concerned. I would encourage anybody having orthopedic problems to visit with Dr Shea I recommend him as a good doctor.
