Dr. Michael Christophe Short, MD

I have been going to Dr. Short for several years and within the last 6 months or so I have had concerns. During my physical if I have too many symptoms I am needing to talk to, I am told it requires a separate appointment. My physicals are not very thorough. I am over 50 and Dr. Short has not talked to me about having a colonoscopy completed. There have also been things documented in my chart that said he talked to me about, but we never discussed. I've also had a situation where my thyroid levels were not checked during routine visits. Most recently, I was needing paperwork filled out to receive coverage and they were not completed by the due date. I received confirmation from Shirley that they were received and she would talk to Dr. Short. Today I talked to Salina and she is telling me that I need to come in to be seen to have the paperwork completed. This has been going on for over a month. There has been change in staff and I do not feel like I was treated with respect… with I called today. I am the customer, and although frustrated, I do not think I should be treated this way. After a physical, I still have to call in for refills. Again, I have put trust in this office and I am very disappointed with the service I have received.

This man has to be one of the worst doctors in Plano. He is money hungry and is only concerned with collecting your copay. He makes you come in to see him every 3 months even if you have been taking a blood pressure med or cholesterol meds for years. It makes no sense to come in every 3 months for him to have a 5 min visit then give you a script for 3 months or even 30 days. I have asked many times for a 6 month or 1 year prescription on my blood pressure med that i have been taking for many years and he only gives me 30 day refill and makes me come back and pay yet another copay. This Doctor is committing insurance fraud and I will be reporting him

Dr. Short is very kind and listens without judgement to problems. He will take the time to figure out what is wrong. Would highly recommend him for a variety of treatments. Making you feel comfortable and with words that you can understand.

If you are looking for an excellent family Dr., look no further! Dr. Short spends time during my appointment to make a thorough diagnosis and always answers any questions I have. I would highly recommend him as a family physician!

Dr short has misdiagnosed me more than once. He has scared me into thinking I had cancer and referred me to an oncologist, once I went to the oncologist she said my blood levels were fine and did not have cancer at all. He has also tried to refer me to other specialists that I didnt even need to see. Ridiculous

Dr. Short is one of the best doctors I have seen. He makes your visit personal and takes the time to explain what is going on with your condition or sickness.

I've been taking my family to this practice for at least ten years. When my sons outgrew their pediatrician, I brought them to Dr. Short, and they have always been comfortable with him. He has seen them for everything from ingrown toenails to scout physicals. Dr. Short works to develop a rapport with his patients and goes out of his way to let us know what to expect, such as what immunizations are needed for school and college.

I have been seeing Dr. Short for a long time and his problem is that he doesn't tell you warnings before he puts you on meds. I'm not really sure what he is for because all he does is refer you to other doctors. Nose problem-ear nose and throat doctor, depression-psychiatrist, pain-pain dr. He is afraid to write prescriptions and only wants to see you over & over to get money.

Office staff did not have my appointment on schedule, but got me in anyway. Dr Short has outstanding professionalism and attention to detail. He spent time with me. Answered some unrelated questions about diabetes. Performed a physical and scheduled me for a follow up to do an autopsy on an odd looking colored patch of skin near my ankle. He was patient to wait for pain medication to take affect before doing autopsy. NO PAIN! YeaOverall good great experience with Doc. Front desk needs a little more organization
