Dr. Michael A Silverstein, MD

Having been a very satisfied patient of Dr. Silverstein for a number of years, he told me that I was in good health and that I did not need to see him for a few years. Recently, I scheduled a routine physical online after a few years, because it was time. I received an email confirmation. When I showed up for the appointment they said they canceled my appointment, because he was not taking new patients. They stated they tried to contact me. They had my email and phone number, but could not reach me. I explained I was not a new patient and I showed them the email confirmation. The receptionists response was we can schedule a new patient meeting with an LPN in a few weeks. My wife and kids are all customers of Herndon Family Medicine. I can't believe the treatment. Health Care Service is horrible.

I have had Doctor Silverstein as my doctor for over 10 years he goes the extra mile to find out what the problem is. He is not afraid to order test and he fights the insurance company for you.

Dr. Silverstein was a wonderful doctor. He spent a lot of time with me and was very engaging and interested in me. He was funny and very personable. His office staff was not at all great but I would go again based soley on the doctor.

I think Dr. Silverstein is a great find for a family/GP doctor. He is a little loud and can be intimidating (as well as you can hear him through the walls with other patients while you wait for your turn). I however believe he is excellent, he leaves no stone unturned and will happily give you extra time and address your concerns down to the last question. He thinks out loud and listens to your input and concerns. I consider him my own Dr. House.
