Dr. Michael Wayne Simon, MD, PhD

If I could give twenty stars, I would! Dr. Simon is a wonderful man and doctor. He is so gentle, warm and compassionate. I am always so comfortable asking whatever questions that I may have. Best of all, he respects all beliefs and preferences and never ever pressures us, as parents. His staff are wonderful and when he is busy they always help with any medical concerns. Truly a fantastic practice! I wish that my son had been born in Lexington; we wouldn't have had to wait until he was 1 to meet such a wonderful, caring physician.

Dr. Simon is the most compassionate, patient and kind doctors I have ever been to. He takes time to talk to me about my children, he explains everything during sick and well visits including the reason for his diagnosis and medication protocol if necessary. He presents the patient with TRUE informed consent and quite honestly that’s a rarity now a days. He’s respectful of parents choices, educated on proper intact care and does not use bullying tactics or fear mongering when discussing any issue that comes up and does not use pressure to get the parent to submit to any medication etc. He simply explains the options. He looks you in the eye and is encouraging, patient and kind and incredibly respectful. We love his practice and his staff. You won’t be sorry!

My children, 18 & 14, have been patients of Dr. Simon's since they were born. I didn't know you could love a doctor as much as we all love Dr. Simon. From the first time we brought our tiny baby in he always made us feel as if we are the most important patient he has. He gives us undivided attention and we know we can trust what he tells us. His is wonderful.

Been taking kids pediatricians for 23 year's in 5 different states. Had some good snd some bad. This guy is the best.

Being a first time mom Dr. Simon, Emily and the staff have eased my mind many a times. The staff is always smiling and happy which is a sign of what kind of environment they work in, as well as who they work for. Dr. Simon makes sure to shake your hand before and after the visit and looks you directly in the eyes when discussing what is going on. He takes his time, answers any and all questions you have, and goes into detail to make sure you understand. He is thorough, dedicated, and it is obvious he cares and truly loves what he does. I have full faith in his medical knowledge and capability to heal my child.

Dr Simon was the only doctor in Lexington that would accept my children as new patients since we have chosen not to vaccinate. I am so glad that we found him. He is a wonderful doctor and we barely sit down in the waiting room before we are taken back for our appt. I never feel rushed in and out. He answers any and all questions I may have and makes my kids laugh and feel comfortable. We will be with Dr. Simon for many years to come.

I am 18 years old and my brother (22) and I have been going to Dr. Simon since we were infants. He diagnosed my brother's one in a billion disease and saved his life. He doesn't care that we're technically too old to go to a pediatric doctor, he takes good care of us, and even our dad too sometimes. I do have a complaint about the front desk staff, though. I stood there, waiting to be checked out for 20 minutes while the woman was taking a personal call on the office phone. Any time I would try to get her attention she would give me the "wait a second" finger. That has only happened once in the 22 years my family has been going there, though. so all-in-all Dr. Simon is a fantastic doctor, and always tells really corny jokes.

We were impressed by Dr. Simon's bedside manner and his apparent agreement with us regarding the care of our toddler. During the course of our medical service, I made it abundantly clear about certain aspects regarding our toddler's treatment. During my absence from one particular office visit, Dr. Simon, against all my wishes over vaccinated our toddler. He agreed not to, but did anyway. We left his practice immediately.

Great doctor! Have gone to him since I was born and he still remembers me. Always got in for an appointment when I was sick. He is a great guy and will make sure that you understand what is going on.

I have been going to his doctor since I was born. I am now in college and my younger brother is going to him. He still remembers and I still like going to take my brother. I never hd to wait for very long to get in with him. He is a great doctor and is a great doctor to deal with.
