Dr. Sisti is an extremely compassionate and competent doctor and surgeon. He was very responsive to my condition and explained in detail what his diagnosis was and his recommendations for treatment. Dr. Sisti shared his background, experience and expertise. He explained the procedure I would have in a way that I could understand what would happen both before and after. My experience with Dr. Sisti was very positive, for multiple reasons. When speaking with him about his assessment of my condition, and what his surgical approach would be, Dr. Sisti was very detailed and informative. He was incredibly respectful and very happy to answer any questions I had. I also very much appreciated Dr. Sisti's holistic approach; he had a clear plan to balance any potentially risky aspects of my surgery with the benefits of not taking those risks when it came to my ability to function after the surgery. By approaching my surgery in this way, I felt like he truly saw me as not only a patient needing neurosurgery, but also as a person with relationships and with a life. After I chose him as my surgeon, I was thrilled with the communications with his office and team. My surgery went wonderfully, and the care I received from him and his team and all others was fantastic. My recovery has been so much better than I would have hoped. I am so thankful for Dr. Sisti.

In November 2021 I was diagnosed with a meningioma tumor. A colleague of mine advised me to do some research on the gamma knife radio surgery. I sent my medical records to a neurosurgeon in NYC familiar with the gamma knife and was told the size of the tumor was too big for that procedure. He referred me to one of his colleagues who advised me to have a craniotomy. I did some research and interviewed another neurosurgeon in Manhattan for a second opinion who also suggested a craniotomy. Honestly, at 68 years old, the thought of having that procedure as well as the complications that could arise was very frightening. I continued my research for the top neurosurgeons in NYC and found that Dr. Sisti was rated the best. I watched his YouTube videos, read his reviews, and was immediately impressed with him. As this was during the Covid period, I forwarded my test results and scheduled an online consultation. I had a list of questions prepared related to the craniotomy procedure and… when the initial online consultation began, I never got the chance to ask those questions. After reviewing my records, Dr. Sisti’s comments was “I’m not going to perform surgery on you”. I will never forget his words to this day. He said he could stop the growth of my tumor with the gamma knife radio surgery and that he had performed this on a patient whose tumor was larger than mine. How can one individual with a meningioma tumor possibly be the happiest person in the world! I would have to visit him for 5 years and get an MRI every 6 months to monitor the tumor. In May of 2022 the gamma knife procedure was performed. In November 2022 the MRI results indicated the tumor stayed the same. In May 2023, 1 year after the procedure, the tumor had shrunk 25%! Thank God I moved forward with Dr. Sisti. It’s apparent why he is one of the top if not the best neurosurgeon around. He is extremely knowledgeable, an expert in his field, listens to your concerns, down to earth and has a funny sense of humor! More importantly, his positive attitude and confidence is something that brings comfort to the concerns of his patients with any neurological concerns. If you need a neurosurgeon, put your trust in Dr.Sisti. He is committed to his patients and will make the right decisions for your care. Thank you Dr. Sisti for being my superhero neurosurgeon! First off and most importantly, I am thrilled to say that my mother's surgery for removal of her large brain tumor was successful, and I am sure that Dr. Sisti played a significant role in ensuring the best possible outcome. After having met with several other doctors, my mother ended up with moving forward with Dr. Sisti to do the surgery as it was obvious from the initial consultation that he is the one of top doctors in his field. We booked my surgery with the first of two top notch choices. After we met Dr. Sisti, we cancelled the first doctor and decided to go with Dr. Sisti. His warm, caring and down to earth manner relaxed us and the great reviews we read about him really cinched it. It is 7 months after my surgery and my second MRI showed that I am problem free due to this wonderful man's skills and no one would ever guess I had brain surgery. I am completely scar free.
