Dr. Michael Jay Soffer, MD

Excellent MD. He retired end of 2019. Hope his replacements are as enthusiastic and informed as he was.

He first dismissed my complaints as anxiety because of the psych meds I take. But, then, he diagnosed me with obstructive lung disease even though the CXR, CT scan, and PFTs showed restrictive lung disease. A UCLA professor, he misdiagnosed me because he stigmatizes mental illness and because he's so egotistical to disregard objective findings. He misdiagnosed me, delaying treatment for a lung condition that may require transplant. He must be tired after 40 years.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this doctor. I met him briefly in his office to have him read my CT scan and then went straight to the hospital for tests. He was honest and forthcoming with me about my diagnosis and visited me every day that I was in Cedar Sinai. You can't ask for better than that! Thank you Dr Soffer!

My dad has been with dr. soffer for more than seven years now. Very caring professional doctor. He knows what he is doing, explain everything to his patients (even to patients with language barrier) and really cares for them.....My dad feels so comfortable with this well respectful doctor! We are so thankful to God for dr. soffer!
