I have gone thru 2 other pregnancies under Spruiell and Roberts care with my last dating back to 2010. In 2015, I became pregnant again and continued with thus practice. Since my first prental appointment this pregnancy, there has beennothung but problems. g

when I got pregnant i was looking for an OBGYN that delievered at Sentara Princess Anne, I lucked out when i found Dr. Spruiell. He is an awesome doctor, he actually shows care and concert for his patients, he is funny and you can tell its not one of thos practices that is all about the money. I am almost due and will have my baby soon and i am so happy that I found them to do my prenatal care. my sister is now pregnant and she will go to that office for hers, I recommend him to anyone!!!

I had a lot of bad luck finding an OB when I first moved to Virginia Beach. When I got pregnant, I lucked out by receiving a recomendation from a client who I had happened to mention I was pregnant, to. She had also encountered some uncaring physicians and then a friend referred her to Commonwealth which she became a patient of. You cannot lose when you go for appointments - the staff are always really good and both doctors - Spruiell and Roberts - are always upbeat, personable, and professional. In the past my doctors have basically been backing out of the room after my check up but Dr. Spruiell encourages me to ask questions and takes the time to answer them. I'm very pleased with Dr. Spruiell and the entire practice!

I have been going to Dr. Spruiell for 28 years. I am very happy with him and love the way he takes time with you when you come into his office. Very sweet man and would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a outstanding OB/GYN.

I have been going to Dr Spruiell for over 20 years since I was pregnant with my first. At that time he had more partners some of which I did not care for. 12 years later when I had my daughter it was just him and Dr Roberts, who is also a very good Dr. Dr Spruiell is very caring and as other patients said, he will lay out all the options and explain in detail so that you can make the best decision for you. I highly recommend him. WHen my oldest daughter needed to go for a gyn visit, she saw NP Judy, because she was more comfortable with a female. Head nurse is always prompt in returning calls if I need to call with questions...I could go on and on. The entire staff is top-notch. I wont go anywhere else.

I've been Dr. Spruiell's patient for the past 3 1/2 years since I moved to Virginia Beach. He's funny, caring, and will take the time to answer any questions or concerns. When I was diagnosed with menorrhagia 16 months ago, Dr. Spruiell listed my treatment options, he didn't push for surgery (I opted the surgical route after weighing the options) and gave me time to think about what I wanted to do as treatment. He also takes the time to find out if his patients are ok mentally and emotionally as well as physically. He always asks if I'm doing ok and how I'm feeling. I'd recommend him to anyone looking for an OB/GYN!!!

Dr. Spruiell has been my doctor since 1990 when I had my son by c-section, and then 15 months later in 1991, he delivered my daughter by a regular birth. He is a great doctor! He has a funny, sometimes sarcastic sense of humor, but it is always obvious that he truly cares. Dr. Spruiell is also not a doctor who will rush to treat something by way of surgery. He takes the appropriate steps of medical care to ensure that the diagnosis and treatment is correct. So for anyone, young or older, you'd make the right choice by seeing Dr. Spruiell. On a side note, the office staff is wonderful as well!

The young woman who is carrying our grandchild was recently spoken down to in a most uncaring manner by this so called 'caring physician'. And God forbid if you happen to speak your mind to this MD regarding his shortcomings as this patient's mother elected to do, for you will then be cast aside like yesterday's salad. If you choose to follow the words of anyone who bows to his experience as seen in any "4-star" commentary heretofore written, all I can say is BUYER BEWARE! Do not disagree with this doctor, lest you be banished from his care ... but then again, maybe that's not such a bad thing after all. New item to add to my "what to buy if I won the Lotto" list: Buy this obstetrics/gynecology practice and fire Dr Spruiell.

Need a great doctor who is caring and really listens to your concerns. Well then go and visit Dr,Spruiell. I started using him during my pregnancy with my 3ed child, who is now 16. I really have a bad phobia of doctors. Well he is so funny and just makes you feel so at ease. He truly will listen to your concerns and wants your opinion. He has a very caring staff. All of his office is so friendly and really ready to help your office visit go smoothly. Go and see him it will be the best choice you have ever made for yourself.
