Dr. Michael Terence Stanger, MD

I hate to leave bad reviews (especially for doctors) but Dr. Stanger deserves it. He is arrogant, isn't helpful and worst of all, made me feel tat he does not remember me even though I was seeing him once a month for ECT. Before my treatments, he would speak with me and would ask me the same questions (non-medical) EVERY TIME. He kept asking questions about my plans to go to grad school for social work. While I don't expect my doctor to remember every detail about my life, my plans to go to graduate school seemed significant enough that he should remember it. As someone who has seen a lot of wonderful doctors and therapists in my young life and wants a career in social work, I think Dr. Stanger lacked the required sensitivity and support that one should expect a psychiatrist to have. Also, he does not return calls in a timely manner and is constantly on vacation. I always felt uncomfortable around him and felt like he was pretending to be polite. I cannot recommend him.
