Dr. Michael Joseph Steinken, MD

This Dr. is very RUDE with POOR bedside manners. He seemed to always be in a rush and seemed to never want to answer my questions or hear my concerns, he just blew then off. STAY AWAY!!!!

...I'm going to assume that his diagnosis and prescription is going to help my son. However, in the 15ish minutes that I talked to him, he seemed dismissive, rushed, talked at me instead of to me, told me my thermometer, (which gave the same reading that theirs did, mind you), was useless, that the symptoms I told him were wrong, he asked me many times if I was sure that my pharmacy was in the city that I said it was in because he couldn't find it in the system, despite my giving him the exact address of the pharmacy... The nurse and the walgreens pharmacist took more time explaining things to me and making me feel comfortable than this doctor did. I certainly hope that the meds he prescribed us will be accurate and fix the problem since I didn't get the feeling he was really listening to me, but I will go out of my way to see anyone else in the practice other than him from now on. Treating the parent of the patient with a little bit of compassion and dignity goes a long way. … They shouldn't get home from a doctor's visit frustrated to the point of tears.

Did not want to even see our child! He says he is accepting new patients but he is unwilling to work with ours. I will strongly discourage anyone from going to see him.

In my opinion from my personal experience this is the rudest, nastiest, most uncaring and unprofessional office staff - and in particular the billing and referal department staff - that I have ever encountered.
