I am now 10 days post-op a breast reduction/lift and felt it was important to leave a review detailing my experience. I decided to disclose my specific procedure because I could find no reviews by other patients who had the same surgery; which would have been helpful to me when doing my own research. Dr. Stevens was recommended by a friend who had multiple procedures under his care and was consistently happy with her results. Just a little background on me - I am a mother of two, who spent a solid two years of my life breastfeeding. Fortunately, I also have medical background that was helpful during this process. Surgery is a big decision and I consider myself to be a person with exceptionally high standards, which is why I researched everything in depth beforehand. After educating myself as best I could about the procedure and reading reviews online, I took the plunge and made an appointment with Kendel, the physician liaison. Kendel was friendly and knowledgeable, answered all of… my questions and provided realistic expectations. I met with Dr. Stevens thereafter and was pleasantly surprised by his honesty and down-to-earth nature. He was very professional which I feel is important when dealing with a topic so sensitive and personal. After I met with him, I felt confident about the surgery and had a good idea of what to expect. The day of my surgery I was nervous, but after meeting with Dr. Stevens and the anesthetist felt more at ease. Dr. Stevens had a calm, “business as usual” demeanor that made me even more comfortable. Before I knew it, I was waking up in recovery and ready to go home! The pain was minimal, (nothing compared to a c-section for those of you who have had one). I was given a number to call if I needed anything at any time of day or night. Dr. Stevens called me himself the night of my surgery to make sure I was okay, which I thought was pretty awesome and accurately depicts the sort of person he really is - the caring, compassionate sort. On the third day after my surgery my bandages were removed to reveal perfect, perky breasts. I nearly cried because I felt like I was seeing what I should have been born with. My result was exactly what I had asked for and even exceeded my own expectations. I already knew to expect scarring, (there is no way around that with this type of procedure) but his suturing is wonderful and I expect the scars to fade significantly with time. I am physically more comfortable and overall a happier person! My confidence has been restored! THANK YOU Dr. Stevens from the bottom of my heart. You have changed my life for the better and I would not hesitate to return to you should I ever decide to have another procedure. I would recommend you to anyone considering a surgery. ?

I am writing a review because I am now looking into a tummy tuck and looked up Dr. Stevens. I was very surprised to see that he wasn't given a 4 star rating. He may cost more, I have friends that got their jobs done for about half the price down south. But I have to say that his work is incredible. I had my surgery almost 10 years ago. I have since had three kids and breast fed each. My breasts still look amazing after all that. They are perky and full, I thought that breastfeeding might ruin them, but felt that it was important my kids, and hey I could just go back and have them fixed later. But amazingly they are just as nice now as they were when they were brand new. I do wish that he updated his website though. I would like to look at his work online, many doctors have before and after pictures of their work online. Visalia is an hour and a half drive for me, so it would be nice to look at pictures online rather than have to make an appt. and drive over to look at his album.

I've had my saline implants for four years. I woke up with a ruptured one and called the office. I was told the wait time to see him for replacement would be 3 weeks! Was told that they are still under warranty if I went with him, but not with any other local surgeon. Definitely will impact my surgeon choice when it comes time to replace both!

After several months of being undecided and going to four doctors for consultations, I decided on Dr. Stevens. I'm happy with how it turned out and everyone, including my husband, tells me I look great. The staff is nice and Dr. Stevens took his time and explained everything carefully. I wish I would have had the surgery five years ago!

I have HORRIBLE UGLY BOOBS. His second operation to fix his first was even worse! I have textbook problem boobs - ripples, dents, capsular contracture (Grade IV - painful!). I had infection - he told me over the phone I didn't, but my doctor and ER had me on antibiotics for over a month. He left stuff behind after the first surgery - I had to pay for him to remove it - he said nothing about it when we thought it was a cancerous lump. Withholds your file even after repeated demands for a copy.
