Dr. Michael Alan Stickler, MD

AWFUL--staff like robots--couple managed to force a smile. Person who escorted me to the “examining” room, stood with her back to me while she asked questions. Doctor was in with me for “maybe” 60 seconds--supposedly did a whole body search for skin problems. He stood a couple feet from me and “pointed” telling the nurse what to “keep an eye on”. I had a mole on my face; a PA came in who tried to be funny—acted like a clown. He cut the mole off my face and left without any words at all. No one that came in stayed long, and ALL were COLD and UNFRIENDLY. HORRIBLE experience—I’ll never use this place again (Mack Bayou, Santa Rosa Beach); and I am telling everyone I know not to go there and be treated like a piece of meat.

Dr.Stickler really cares about his patients and their feelings about any surgery he has to perform on them.

I just got home from my appoitment with Dr Stickler at his Santa Rosa Beach office and had a great experience. Very courteous staff and it took him no time to diagnose me. I have been battling my condition for months and the other dermatologist in Destin has given me 10 different creams and 6 months later no results. I will be returning and would reccommend him to friends/family. Good job.

Trips to the doctors office usually make me uncomfortable, but this visit was remarkable enough to get me to write about it. First off, I didn't spend much time at all in the waiting room. I was there a few minutes early, and they got me in right on time. I saw the doctor a few minutes later, and he did a skin cancer screening (even though I was there for something else). He didn't see anything he felt needed to test on (great news, as far as I'm concerned), and then we talked about what I was there for. He explained it to me, and prescribed a cream - even gave me some samples. The samples pretty much did the trick, although I still got the prescription filled, just in case. For me, this was the ideal trip to the doctors! In, treated, and out!

Did not feel like they took the time to diagnose correctly. Not happy!

I've gotten used to a visit to the dermatologist's office being an all day hassle, but they got me in and out in no time. I had some questions (which were answered) and a few moles that I was worried about (one was biopsied, test results negative). Overall, a good experience. I'll be back for normal check-ups, and it's a relief knowing that if something serious comes up, I won't have to wait until an appointment 3 months down the road!

Went to this doctor about a couple of suspect moles. The doctor had a good bedside manner and was professional, but he only identified moles for biopsy - that was all. One mole had to be removed. I never saw the doctor until I had a problem later. A nurse performed the removal procedure and completely bungled the operation. She tied the stitches too tight, as if she didn't know what she was doing. Despite the fact that I took painstaking care of the stitches, I developed an infection. Upon returning to the doctor, he saw me for a very short time, prescribed antibiotics, then disappeared. After I had the stitches taken out, I discovered that the incision did not heal properly and now I have a hole in the skin on my back. Now I have to find another doctor to fix it. I refuse to return to this practice. Don't let this happen to you. Go somewhere else!

Was diagnosed by my family doctor with a squamos cancer on my cheek. I was referred to Dr Stickler who removed the cancer and stitched up the site so that 1 month later you can hardly see where the surgery was done. Great experience from start to finish.

Spent less than a minute to do a full body cancer screening. Left the room without evening telling me I wouldn't see him again or that someone else would be taking the biopsy (he was in the room less than 5 minutes); didn't tell me what to expect about anything and didn't even ask me if I had any questions. I guess doctors get paid to rely on their nurses and PAs to do ALL of the work and answer questions. Poor customer service on all levels. Felt like a number won't be going back.

Excellent Diagnosis, Treament, and Care. Very thankful to have him as my physician.
