Dr. Michael Allan Stone, MD

I had shoulder replacement surgery with this doctor and initially felt confident in the procedure itself. However, the post-operative experience was extremely concerning. Shortly after surgery, the doctor became unreachable and his clinic closed without notice. There was no coverage plan, no access to records, and no coordination of follow-up care, leaving me to find another provider on my own during a critical recovery period. In a later telehealth visit, there was no acknowledgment of this gap. He offered minimal guidance, said he had “done the hard part,” and told me to find another doctor without providing a referral. Most upsetting, he showed graphic intraoperative video of my surgery without warning or consent during the call. While the surgery appears technically sound, the lack of continuity of care and professionalism post-operatively was unacceptable.

Firstly, Dr. Stone has no bedside manner or professionalism. His office barely picks up the phone and he was 2 hours late to my surgery. After surgery, and suddenly developing complications, he refused to see the patient he provided surgery on, with no explanation at all. He also refused to write the patient any lab orders or blood work orders. Instead, he claimed he is no longer seeing patients and provided no other explanation. We told him no one else would see us because he did the surgery and he did not care. Instead, he stated we could go to the ER. When we told him that the ER would tell us to go an orthopedic doctor for care, and reminded him that no one else would see us for the above reasons, he again did not care. This provider is horrific. No patient should experience their surgeon ghosting them after surgery and refusing to provide medical care that he has a duty to provide.

I couldn't think of anyone better than Dr Stone to take care of my shoulder issue. He was attentive and listened to my concerns, explained everything pre and post opp. Highly recommended.

Dr. Stone spent a great deal of Time going over everything they had transpired since my first postoperative visit, he checked my motion he checked the measurements. He explained everything to me and great detail, and told me that I was at a place where I should be or above. He told me what to expect in the next six weeks and that he encouraged me also to call the clinic or email him with any questions or concerns I have Dr. Stone is very good in the shoulder and elbow subspecialty I am grateful that I met him. I feel very confident well cared for that things are l Going to go smoothly. I appreciate his kindness, and not being rushed to answer my questions and have a nice conversation about what's been happening in regards to my very large revision constructing surgery of my shoulder.
