Biography
I'm a second generation Chinese American. I've lived in Southern California all my life except for my four years of medical school. I skipped my last undergraduate year of college to attend medical school in Chicago, where I fulfilled my parents' dream of becoming the first doctor in the family. After medical school, I decided to return to sunny California. During my training in internal medicine, the allergists I encountered seemed to be the most pleasant role models, so I decided to specialize in allergy.
About my practice
I believe primarily in medicine based on scientific evidence and following established clinical practice guidelines. Though I was trained in internal (adult) medicine originally, I do see patients of all ages. I believe in lifelong learning. I also share my experience with …younger physicians as an assistant clinical professor at UCLA.
How I thrive
In recent years, I have found it stimulating to study material that I missed out on when I was younger (mostly math and physics). On the lighter side, I also enjoy reading Tom Clancy, Patricia Cornwell, Sue Grafton, and John Grisham novels.
