Dr. Cris Ann
I have had the amazing opportunity of practicing pediatric dentistry in my hometown of McLean, VA for the last 18 years. It's been great being able to serve in the same community I grew up in!
I attended Spring Hill Elementary, Cooper Intermediate, and graduated from Bishop O'Connell High School in Arlington. My college years were spent at West Virginia University, earning a degree in biology. In 1991, I graduated from the School of Dentistry at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond and later completed my residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. Currently, I am an active member of the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and Northern Virginia Dental Society.
I have had the unique experience of working with my father, Dr. Mike, since I was fifteen years old. As a teenager, this early work experience helped shape and influence my career choice. It's exciting to see Dr. Mike's previous patients now …bringing their children to the same dental practice to see me!
My husband, Dr. Mark Luposello, is an orthodontist in McLean and we have the pleasure of sharing many mutual patients. We have two children, Isabel and Mark Reid, who are currently attending my alma mater, Spring Hill. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, going to movies, eating at new restaurants, and traveling with my family.
Dr. Mike
Dr. Michael J. Ternisky attended Purdue University for his undergraduate studies and achieved his doctoral degree in dentistry from Indiana University. He furthered his training in adult dentistry while completing a rotation with the Air Force in Charleston, South Carolina. Dr. Mike completed his residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Rochester – Eastman in Rochester, New York; near his hometown of Canandaigua. In 1970, he opened his Pediatric Dental practice in McLean, Virginia; the first pediatric dentist in the McLean, Great Falls, and Tysons Corner area. He was an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at the School of Dentistry at Georgetown University for many years, in conjunction with his dental practice. Dr. Mike is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, and the Fairfax Dental Society. Dr. Ternisky is the father of three: Jody, a dental hygienist, Thomas, owner and operator of Romantica Pizza, Great Falls, Virginia, and Dr. Cris Ann, a pediatric dentist and partner in the practice.
Dr. Jason
Dr. Andrew “Jason” Shannon attended James Madison University receiving his Biology degree in 1999 and his doctoral degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2005. In 2007, Dr. Jason completed his pediatric residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Jason is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is married to Linda Shannon, a special education teacher at Cedar Lane School in Vienna, Virginia.
Dr. Farrah
Dr. Farrah Keliddar attended George Mason University receiving her Psychology degree in 1999, and received her doctoral degree from NYU in 2005. She completed her residency in general dentistry in 2006 and her pediatric residency in 2008 at Staten Island University in Staten Island, New York. Dr. Farrah is a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Northern Virginia Dental Society. She is married to Majid AlBassam, an attorney, and they live in Vienna, Virginia.
