Dr. Michael Paul Tessler, MD

Was he patient for over 10 years. Stayed because we didnt want to go through the hassle of finding someone new. He was ok when we just needed general check ups and yearly bloodwork. Sent to specialist for everything. Your appointment lasts about an hour and you go over your records each time for the entire time you have been a patient. useless time spent, then he writes a book in your file while you wait. He started to miss to many important things. We felt we couldnt trust his judgement anymore and moved on. He's ok in a pinch but you have to stay on top and be very involved in your care to follow up on him.

Old school Doctor. Definately does NOT rush you. usually takes about 40 minutes with each patient. His staff is awesome. His appearance is casual and his office isnt modern, but decor is not what your paying for. He takes the time, and he tries to help. I believe he and his staff actually care.

Took my 13 year old daughter to urgent care. Upon first glance could not believe this was our doctor. Sloppy appearence and as he passed by was wiping Cheeto crumbs down his white lab coat... smacking as he finished the bag. In the exam room, he was EXTREMELY rude to me, as I was trying to tell him the problems, telling me to "Shut Up" and "Can't your daughter speak?". NEVER will I see this doctor again. My daughter is shy and she was terrified as he was so (in her words) mean. When I questioned his behavior he proceeded to tell me he was the director at Flagler Hosptial in what I felt was an attempt to discourage me from complaining. ... if this fact is true (I don't believe it is) I will never be going there again either. Unbelievable.

Dr. Tessler spent an hour with me going over my illness. He asked questions and listened to my answers. Highly recommended for after hours care, or any hour for that matter. What a relief to finally find a doctor willing to spend more than a couple minutes to diagnose a problem.
