Dr. Michael Thambuswamy, MD

Used to be a wonderful dr. However I AMA'd due to transport issues from hospital and he refused to send me pain meds after spine surgery until I filed a complaint with the Medical Board. He then called me and told me "I have no obligation to you". Although when you AMA, you relieve the doctor of many things however the moral/ethical aspect should never be absent.

I received excellent attention and care from Dr. Thambuswamy. He went well above standard practice to involve my husband in his explanations. I had no complications. He listened well and had a warm and friendly bedside manner. I was completely pleased with him, his staff and Tulsa Spine Hospital.

I had back surgery 1 year ago today and am so glad my doctor recommended Dr. Thambuswamy . I am 72 and my back is great. Everyone from the hospital to the nurses to his office help were friendly and courteous. Thank you again for my active life back. Only one thing, try and be on time the day of someones surgery

to Dr. Michael. He diagnosed my pain, shared his concerns and told me what would be involved in surgically repairing my lower back. He also discussed the risks, time of recuperation and what would be expected of me during healing, nursing and therapy. He told me the procedure was an eight to ten hour surgery and would possibly take up to twelve months to heal properly. It's been six weeks since my operation and everything he told me is 100% accurate. While I still have several months of healing I am already moving and walking better than I have in years and the pain is getting less each week. I was in an exam room for two hours and 15 minutes with no one coming in I want to add to the hall to look for the doctor I could not find him all exam rooms were empty I saw a nurse and she’s trying to find a doctor went back to the room and in less than five minutes he told me that my tumor was in operable and where it was that they were not safe to do surgery so I left hey bill Medicare for 45+ minutes

I've been seeing Dr T for well over a year, 3 surgeries later and he is the most caring, supportive and honest Doctor I've ever met. I trust him completely and he takes the time one needs to understand. I recommend him to anyone with back or brain issues. He knows what he is doing and well versed in modern medicine. His support staff, Stephanie is always there if you need her.

After 30 + years of hearing doctors tell me there is nothing that can be done on my back I FOUND THE ONE, that said Yes! Dr. Mike Thambuswamy is the ultimate. He truly cares about his patients and their well being. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a specialist for chronic pain. He is very through in making decisions with you in regards to your health and makes no rush decisions in your care. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my back

He is the best caring knowledgeable easy to understand. He is willing to try to advanced treatments his staff is great and very caring

What a wonderful dr!!! So kind and compassionate! Very knowledgeable! My husband fell off a roof and broke his back and his leg. Dr Thambaswamy did such a wonderful job on putting him back together. God bless!!

Everyone was absolutely amazing, especially Dr Thambuswamy. From the pre surger, taking time to show me the MRI , what was wrong, why and discuss with me my options to managing post surgery pain. Five stars all the way around!
