He also completed Continuum training at the Pankey Institute and was the first dentist in Albuquerque to be trained and certified for LANAP Laser Surgery to treat periodontal disease.
A Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Thompson feels it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of dentistry. Thus, he maintains memberships in many prestigious professional organizations to keep up-to-date on the latest techniques and technology. He is currently a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the New Mexico Dental Association, the Albuquerque District Dental Society, the HDDC (Albuquerque Chapter of the Seattle Study Club), and the Quad States Study Club.
In …his personal life, Dr. Thompson is an elder of Grace Church. It has also been his privilege to volunteer as a dentist with Joni and Friends Wheels for the World. Watching and playing round ball sports is a passion - especially baseball, basketball, and golf! It is easy to engage him in conversation about the Yankees, Cardinals, Isotopes, and Lobos!
