Dr. Michael Huu Tong, MD

I’ve been going to Dr Tong for maybe 20 years now. He’s very caring and is a very good listener. I trust him 100%. He takes care of my husband as well.

Many years ago I wrote a review about Dr Tong out of hurt and anger. I did not remember this until I was reminded of it today. I denied writing it because I honestly did not remember. Until my husband refreshed my memory. Dr Tong is a excellent Dr. I apologize you know who I am. I was hurt and reacted wrongly.

Waiting to speak with Dr. Tong was worth every minute. He spoke clearly and direct. My wife and I never felt rushed even though we had many questions. We feel comfortable moving forward to have Dr. Tong perform my Ascending Aortic aneurysm surgery.

I would like to share a few words about Dr. Tong. It is rare for me to share positive reviews, especially about many of the health care professionals in the area, but I feel he is an exception. Dr. Tong is sincerely caring, passionate and I always feel comfortable with discussing my health issues with him. The office and center Dr. Tong is a part of is a different story however I don't hold him responsible for their short comings. He has been very quick to accurately diagnose certain issues I have had and it is quite obvious that he cares more about what he does than most dr's I have seen.

Dr. Tong has always been an incredible doctor to me. He cares more about me as a patient than any other doctor has ever been. He genuinely cares about me being healthy and I am very comforted by him when I have to visit. He is knowledgable and confident. I would recommend him to anyone, without a doubt.

Hi everyone!I want to say something nice to Dr. Tong, and there is some misunderstanding about him. I belive Dr. Tong is not bad, and inexperienced, or non responsible like you guys said. The last time I visited him, and I was pretty sure 100% that he was very busy. I asked him"Have you taken a break for today yet?" and he has not. North Medical forces him to see over 45 patients every single day. Then he does not have time to eat, or drink, I think we should have sympathy for him. Ibelieve he doesn't want to let his patients wait for him too long. Mrs "Money Hunger" is wrong about him anyway. Based on billing policy, North Med need you to pay the past due, then they can let you make another appointment with ur doc. It is just like the way you make credit card payment. If you are late, then you would be charged on the next time, or you will not be able to use ur credit card untill you finish your late payment. I believe Dr. Tong does not refuse to see you by himself, and he is not… involved in this proble. I think you should contact to billing manager system at North Med, or customer service to explain ur situation.

I was hurting very bad, and I made appointment with Dr. Tong. He gave me CT scan, and told me to wait for him come back. Anyway, He did not return to my waiting room, but nurse came in and told me to go home. They said they would call me after the result came up. The funny thing is they did not give me any motrin or any kind of meds that help me release my pain, and there was no calling from them at all.

Usually a weeks wait to get an appointment. Getting diagnostic tests/refferals actually scheduled is almost impossible. Several phone calls and days pass before finally getting refferal appointment. Then NEVER getting a follow up with lab/diagnostic test results. Calls and emails go unanswered. They basically require you to schedule another appointment to get your test results, I assume so they can collect another copay, and bill your insurance company again. Either that or they are so disorganized they cannot follow up, but I tend to think it is the earlier, not the latter. I once had a nurse argue with me that they do not send results by mail, or give over the phone due to HIPPA laws, and that is why an appointment needed to be scheduled. What a joke.

I was put on thyroid medication by Dr. Tong, my husband recently got lyed off, we owe a bill of 145 dollars, Im out meication Dr, Tong himself told me I should never start or stop this medication, now Im out of medication because Dr.Tong refused to see me unless I paid my bill he will not even call me in a percription, until the bill is paid. Hedes not care abot my healthonly money.
