Expert at traditional TURP. I had minimal bleeding post op and went home without a catheter in less than 24 hours. Voiding like a teenager ever since.

I have this urologist for sometime at Scripps hospital, but now I have decided not to see him again. I had a prostatitis problem. He never answer any of my questions properly, so I was usually unable to understand what was going on with my prostatitis. He performed a cystoscopy procedure on me iand I suffer frequent pain attacks since then. He never responds to any phone calls in a timely manner, not even his nurses do. If you insist to talk to him, they hang up on you. The Scripps management should look into this urology team, because it damages the hospital's reputation.

Dr. Tran is an attentive, caring, competent urologist with a good bed side manner.

Dr Tran operated on my husband. He has a terrible bedside manner - if you ever see him! Two days after surgery, my husband had a high fever from a Urinary Tract Infection. I called the doctor and didn’t get a call back for days, and only after I called our internist who had referred him, who called Tran and told him to call me back. My husband had 3 more UTIs after surgery. - and he had never had one before. I called Dr Tran when he got the fourth one, leaving an urgent message asking Dr. Tran or his PA to call me back. They never did! When we had the 2-week post-op appointment and I told the doctor how sick my husband was, he said, “Your husband is doing well, the only problem is you.” After 4 UTIs, we went to a different urologist, who found that there was so much scar tissue from Dr. Tran’s surgery, my husband needed a surgical procedure to correct it. DO NOT GO TO DR. TRAN. HE IS A TERRIBLE PHYSICIAN.

I have been seeing Dr. Tran for the same problem for years, but he always insists on a visit before renewing my prescription, even in cases of dire emergency. Obviously cares more about my insurance money more than me. My visit today will be my last.

Dr. Michael Q Tran MD is a complete A**! My parents fired him as their doctor. My Father has Prostate Cancer. When they asked him where the cancer has spread, he told them it didn't matter....WTH! I'm sorry, but you have a right to know where the cancer is!! This person doesn't deserve to be licensed as a medical doctor. Scripps needs to fire him!!!!

Dr Michael Q Tran is the rudest, most condescending, unprofessional physician I have ever met. When I asked questions, he said go home and read about it. He said he can't give a lecture on the subject. I was ready to walk out, because the consultation was a waste of time with his poor attitude. What a disgrace to his field. I told him to go see other patients. I would not go back to him for free! I am filing a complaint with Scripps and looking for a new physician.

Dr. Tran, he is great in kidney problem, he save me from stones pain so many time. He's also a wonderfull person and he always understand the patient's problems.
