Dr. Michael George Valladares, DO

I saw Dr. Valladares at his new office and what a difference! Staff is great and everything was so much smoother and better organized. As for my experience with Dr. Valladares himself, I can't say enough great things about his patience, communication, teaching and overall persona. The old office tried to reschedule me with another one of their doctors but thankfully I follow him on Instagram (@thegidoctor) and knew where he had moved to. He is the best doctor I've seen in a long time. I recommend him 100%.

I went to see this Doctor a month ago. He told me I needed antibiotics, pain medication and to visit LabCorp, that was it. I payed and picked up the medications at the pharmacy. When I arrived home I opened the bag and notice a PREP STOOL KIT along with my meds. I called the office to question this prescription as the DR. had not mentioned any such thing, they assured me it was written in error. I went back to the pharmacy, they refused the return because of COVID. I then contacted the doctor's office again, I was transferred multiple times, put on hold, hung up on. After explaining my story to anyone that would listen, I was finally able to get the name of the office manager. I was told repeatedly that she was not available, so I left her a voice mail. She never responded. Yesterday after calling, holding, being transferred I finally was able to speak to Alcira the office manager. She looked in my file and first told me there were two prescriptions, and LabCorp. ONLY after my… insistence did she admit yes there was a colonoscopy Prep Kit prescribed in error. Finally, I then ask for a refund. She states she cannot grant one. That even though she is the office manager all refunds go through the Doctor. I told her I thought it was ridiculous but relented. What happened next really upset me. The Doctor himself called me to ask what was the problem. He then proceeds to ADMIT that it was written in error, but that I should not be giving his staff such a hard time. I let him know that it is the other way around, that his staff was very unprofessional the way they dealt with HIS ERROR, that all I was looking for was a refund for money I should not have paid. He then spins it and says I should have checked the content of the bag the pharmacists gave me before leaving the pharmacy. After some back and forth he affirmed that I would receive a refund, that he had nothing to do with refunds. He also stated Alcira would call me with instructions on said refund. She never called. Anyway-- avoid this place. Also, the parking lot adjacent to the building with the doctors office inside forces you to PAY in CASH for parking for a doctors visit. CASH ONLY. Oh, Hialeah, stay classy.!

la razon por la cual decidi visitar a este doctor fue su review. Pero ya he tenido 2 consultas con el y de verdad aun no entiendo como tiene tan buena puntuacion. Yo fui a consulta por una fisura anal la cual me diagnostique gracias a Google y que un medico previo confirmo. El dr. Valladares solo me pregunto, es muy grande? en lugar de revisar y confirmar el diagnostico. El dr valladares me ha recibido 2 veces en su consultorio, le ha facturado a mi seguro mil dolares en honorarios y aun no me ha revisado para confirmar que en efecto tengo una fisura. Como puedes atender a un paciente verbalmente? Yo no me lo explico. En la consulta de hoy, luego de 2 horas de espera, reviso los examenes que me realizaron (otros 2 mil dolares de factura a mi seguro) y me dijo todo es bien. Tienes la vitamina D baja. Le dije q he tenido un dolor en la parte superior del estomago y su respuesta fue, "seguro algo que comiste te cayo mal", en serio? como vas a desestimar un sintoma? de vaina… no me dijo, capaz y es un peo que tienes atravesado. Me envio a hacerme una colonoscopia, quizas ese dia en realidad me revise, pero ya me ha dicho en 3 ocasiones que seguro tengan que hacerme una cirugia. Como me puede hablar de cirugia sin haberme visto la lesion NUNCA??? Solo se me ocurre como respuesta, porque lo que le interesa es facturar la cirugia y no el bienestar del paciente. Sali inconforme de la consulta porque fue muy breve y concluyo con un te voy a dar el liquido de la colonoscopia para el examen... Quede en shock y le dije a la enfermera, que no me quedo clara la situacion y entonces, muy amablemente llamaron al dr para que me confirmara los siguientes pasos a lo cual en tono de molestia por mi osadia de aclarar el tema me dijo, el siguiente paso es una colonoscopia porque yo no se que tienes ahi arriba (en mi mente pense y como vas a saber si nunca has revisado mi lesion ????) y luego me dijo porque puedes tener un polipo ahi o un Cancer, entonces tengo que revisar y luego se haria una cirugia, y salio de escena. Como puedes ser tan insensible de lanzarle a un paciente que podria tener cancer cuando no te has tomado la molestia de revisar su lesion para confirmar el diagnostico??? Que clase de profesional hace eso? Hoy ni siquiera la bata llevaba puesta... De verdad que hoy pase 2 horas llorando la frustracion con este medico. Probablemente porque vengo de otro pais donde los doctores tratan a sus pacientes como seres humanos y no como elementos de facturacion. Ahora debo esperar 2 meses mas para el siguiente procedimiento, serian 4 meses en consulta sin un diagnostico generado por el doctor, simplemente porque no le ha dado la gana de oscultarme por completo.

Dr. Valladares has been very patient in explaining all recommended procedures needed. Very compasionate and accurate in his diagnosis. We are so grateful to Dr. Valladares for all he has done for my husband’s health. We gladly recommend Dr. Valladares, he is Excellent!
